Ok guys I'll start!

What was your favourite ever DJR race car?

For me it was the Sierra.

I doubt that the drivers would agree (it must have been a real handful to drive!)but that little 2.0 litre engine making so much power in a small, lightweight body was awesome.

And I know it didn't sound like a V8 but I thought the popping and whistling actually sounded pretty good (flame proof suit on!)

Well the Cossie was a dozie, but for me i vote:

1983 Bathurst XE.

I dont like being a what if person, but:
What if Dick had not destroyed more trees than Tassie Loging during Hardies Heros.
It would have been pole and a Bathurst win.
Oh well what if ?

But is was a Bloody strong car wasnt it?

I must admit the XE was a formidable sight, but for me the mustang with those white wheels and great handling was my favourite - to see Dick swing down under the bridge at lakeside then hammer up from Hungry corner at full noise was a sight and sound to behold.

84 XE for me. With them huge rear wheels & THAT droptank, what a beast. Anybody remember the JPS Mustang DJ raced in NZ 1986?? Now that was a beautiful race car!!

Hi Rob : the Mustang in JPS colours was outstanding, I think he co-drove with Neville "croaky" Crichton. Did the car come back or was it sold off over there, I have a feeling it remained in NZ?

Cheers, Doug

The Sierra has to be my favorite . The amount of wins that Dick and Bowie had in those things was just awesome to watch .Never got sick of seeing them win.

It has to be the Sierra.

The fact that Dick took his to the UK, home of Cosworth, and romped away from the whole field, including Rouse, in practice and early in the race itself. Awesome.

2003 BA falcon has the best paint job. The sierra was the best racer but the greens tuff falcon was the best overall. It is the hardest looking racer i have ever seen.

1989 Sierra, why - because it was so dam quick (307kph down Conrod I think from memory) & between Dick & JB they won almost every race for the year.

My 2 bob's worth was the 83 Greenstuffed[xx(].I'm brave enough to say,if it didn't knock down more tree's than the farmer's in Queensland at the moment,it would have got poll and one the race by a mile.Next up was Tru Blu;).But how good were those Sierra's[8D],in 88 Bowe and Johnson won every round of the ATCC.In 89 they won all but 2 round's and were on the podium for all but one race.As well as Bathurst. The 94 EB [8)]was also a great car for DJR winning Bathurst and the 18 car coming home seventh after Grice buried it in the kitty litter twice.Car 18 could have been part of a 1-2 finish if it wasn't for Gricey's four wheel driving

I don't know how this question can even be asked....
For a DJ and Ford nut such as myself I'm afraid I just can't make such a decision without a great deal of thought....
Even then I don't want to choose!!
I suppose though that I'd have to go with TRU-BLU 1 and 2, purely because the XD is my favourite car.
It's about the only model that Ford have got right straight out of the box!
It beats Greens-tuf only by the narrowest of margins, but only because the XD won for Dick virtually from the word go.
I have to give up on this subject now because my heads getting sore.
I hate to choose from such a great group of race-cars!
