Only caught the last 10-15 laps of the race.

Did anyone else other than James get a championship tightener (drive through) penalty????

The Giz got one early on, Tim Slade got one as well

Not too many Holdens got them though (none I think)

Actually I thought Greg Crick did a pretty good job today - the most consistent "umpiring" in quite some time.

So what you're saying Yap is that NOTHING has changed since the Gold Coast although we had a different Driving Standards Clown in charge today.

Ford clean sweep the drive through penalty count again hey.

Is it just me or does anyone else notice the fact that
1. Tomas Mezera----Ex H***** driver
2. Greg Crick-----Ex H***** driver
are the ones handing out the penalties to Ford drivers like their handing out lollies at a candy store yet when it comes to these H***** [jk] their hands are buried in the bottom of their pockets.

That's enough of my ranting and raving over, must take Panadol and lie down i think.:)

Every car which turned someone around or speared them off, apart from the Reindler/Thompson incident was given a penalty.
If 33 had been able to catch his car and not go off, then Courtney may have escaped.
With Reindler and Thompson, I assume that they weren't absolutely sure so they were waiting to download after the completion of the race.

My absolute favourite saying is Matt White talking about "now that the field has been cleansed after the pit stops"

I heard him saying it Sat & Sun.... grrrrrrrrrrr [rt]

Day Three Report

As discussed already what a total smack in the face for DJR and James by the V8SC today, they really want whincup to take out the championship. James and DJR today were no good in qualifying however once the race started and after the first safety car James was on fire. Even the track commentators were unsure as to why James got the first black flag and called it for the pass on Jamie at the hairpin, but then changed that to the loose bodywork. While James was in the pits their comments referred to tanders black flag dropping at the Indy round for the same issue of loose body work, then for James to receive the second black flag to the pass on car 33. It was incredibly clear that James was not allowed to get ahead or extend his championship lead at all.

The only amazing thing was that whincup had to stop again due to not enough fuel, me thinks this was a ploy to try and make it look to obvious what was going on. The crowd in the stand could not believe the events it was Indy all over again. DJR had worked so hard and had the speed to win or be at least at the pointy end today. I guess at least ford won the race and the race was completed with minimal damage ahead of next weekend’s racing.

I went on a club run in my GT today instead of watching this pathetic excuse of motorsport. It was much more enjoyable fanging the GT through the hills around Esk and Toowoomba.
