I was going to say why sabotage the cars just stick a Shit load of laxatives in the food at Team Tr888or but then remembered they supply DJR with all their catering needs so probably not a good idea.
Don't want James getting the sandwiches of Whingecup.

T8 are my laxitive. they often give me the $hits

Ha ha, classic, pRick complains about being held up, and Richo neatens ups his collar!! The look on pRick's face is gold. Picture can be seen at www.V8supercars.com.au

Richo fires up over qualifying

The short nature of the Symmons Plains track became all too apparent following today’s qualifying session when an altercation between Steve Richards and Rick Kelly got physical.
It began on track when Kelly allegedly brake tested Richards when he thought the Ford Performance Racing driver had held him up.
Once they were out of the cars the drivers met up in pitlane between their garages and Richards grabbed Kelly’s shirt after Kelly allegedly threatened him.
“I walked down to see him because when he thought that I upset his run or whatever he came across in front of me and jumped on the brakes and I drove into the back of him and smashed the back of my car so I wasn’t really that pleased,” Richo explained.
“I was a bit confused as to why he would have done it when in my mind there was absolutely no drama.
“Rick was just upset about being held up which I didn’t held him up and he threatened to have me off at the next three races so I wasn’t too happy about that.
“He basically said for the next three races make sure you keep an eye out for me because I’m going to send you into the paddocks.”
When asked if there was then any physical contact involved Richards replied: “Yeah, I just neatened up his collar a bit."
Richards said he has never experienced anything like it before in his V8 Supercar career.
“It’s never really happened to me before… at some point in the session we all have times when we are close to cars on our laps and you do the best you can to absolutely not hold anyone up because it’s going to happen to you if you do,” he said.
Richards did not believe a format change was needed at the short circuit, where laps are under a minute.
“It was the same at the Gold Coast so I don’t see what the issue is,” he said.
“I’ve been held up before and as I said if Rick thinks that I did hold him up I apologise, it wasn’t intentional and when I looked in the mirror he was still four or five car lengths away.
“I was running within four or five car lengths away from cars and didn’t have a problem.”
Kelly was in a briefing and not available for comment.

There's only one problem with that photo and that is Richo's fist in not buried to the elbow down that little smuks mouth.[bx]
Someone needs to straighten that little germ and his older brother. What is it with them at Symmons Plains, Todd running James of the track last year and now pRick's little effort today.

Pretty disapointing as usual by Richards, i reckon a liverpool kiss was in order, . . . if Prik gets away with making threats like that then the game is over, something has to be done, it's just bullshit that a driver should be able to make that kind of threat without repercussions.
Having said that we know it does happen, we've seen the dud(e) do it and Todd do it and a couple of others have appeared to try it on, but none of them made a threat to do it like that.
Those spoiled rich kids are too used to getting what they want by buying it (daddy) and putting the blame for their short commings on others.

BTW PB, wish I hadn't looked at that link, . . . . spoiled the qualifying for me now , . . .

How hard is this championship? The lap times between #17 #18 #19 were almost identical all the way through in the first race. It's as clear as mustard that Campbell Little is the only Ford engineer that can match the Holden guys. Hope Ford never looses him. Sj would stand on the podium at every race meeting if he was in a 888er.

[:I] Sorry, my bad, not smart enough to work out how to embed the images.

Me neither, . . . . .

I was trying to look away,. . . .but then i looked :D

Anyway,. . . . .what can we take away as a positive from that result? the only team NOT to have the same thread captive nuts so we could rotate tyres and get enough grip up for the back of the race, and James complaining about not enough steer available for the hairpin [bgn] but a pretty consistant run through the simmons plains parade laps where overtaking moves were as scarce as ticks on a dolfin . . .

I can't believe the wheel nut scenario for that track.
It's such a simple thing to do and yet it wasn't.
They've gotta get their act together or it'll be bye, bye championship. [tsk]

Here's a pic of the 07 Bathurst car which was at the track. The boys could not tell me how many have/are being made however the Biante site says 1100. This car has had a hard life as shown in the pic

Day Two Report

Well nothing really went right today at all. I guess we can take away that James still in the championship lead but that is even slipping away. A good qualifying session tomorrow will help that out. Not really sure what happened to Steve at the start of the race as he went backwards and didn't recover. You could sense a safety car was needed to spice things up and make it a bit more interesting. Longer race tomorrow plus with the heavy rain forecast that will mix things up a little.

The Richo / Rick matter was quite amusing, rick was totally at fault and Richo should have laid rick out for that. Cool pics captured of them facing off thou. They also anounced over the pa system that Richo, Dumbrell, Murph and W Davison were all looking for drives next year. I had heard of a couple of them but I was surprised at Dumbrell I thought he was doing a good job and would be kept a FPR. [sh]

As promised I didnt watch the race....But I am watching it on speed.

I hate to say it but it appears that all the "Talks" that has been occouring has resulted in a very understandable drop in performance from the team.

If this is true : SHAME (Insert Peoples Name Here) SHAME

I see a P Glover Book coming out The Rise and Fall of Dick Johnson Racing. The story of ### ##### ## ###### of Dick Johnson Racing

Just watched the race on Speed. DJR cars seemed to lack any real pace today, everyone running the option tyres made for a rather lack luster race.

A least all the teams will have some decent tyres for testing as I didn't see any cars use their allocated control tyres.

Can't say I agree with that. We don't have a habit of concistantly producing a front running car by a long shot. Never have for a long time.
