Its got that Nascar look about it,as always DJR cars look sweet.

I noticed that too JB17, with the forward slanting number and the minor sponsor decals listed downward on the fenders. Funny how that looks just right on a V8 supercar and the same looks like a shopping list on a ricer.:D

Craig Gore will be saying that DJR stole that nascar look from them too.

First time poster so here we go!
Attended DJR 07 launch at Melba's Tuesday arvo.
Car looked awesome from where I was (outside security area)!
Did anyone else hear (trimmed down) Steve say that the team would be his (or words to that effect) during his chat with Pat Welsh?
Doesn't appear that Steve has any plans to move away from DJR anytime soon.

Maybe Dick is condidering a fulltime retirement![V]

Welcome Peter, they have the full online feed still available on DJR's website, I'll have to have a listen to it again as I didn't pick that up the first time I heard it.

At last I have seen the cars, very good looking, now to sit back and watch Will become a big time star in this category, i'm thinking top five and more than a couple of podiums for the 18 car this year.

Good on ya Donk, I agree , and I reckon a trimmed down Steve might just be up there with him, I know a lot of blokes think Steve is just there, but I reckon he's a good relyable , bring her home straight, driver in the top ten that has yet to reach any sort of potential. By the looks of him in the video he's put in a big effort over the break and if he just can grab the tiny opportunities on track with a bit more agression he'll be up there.

Welcome aboard 7teen 8teen,Steve did mention at Phillip Island last year during an interview that he would like to run the team one day and let the old boy(Dick)spend more time on his boat.

TS 50 I also like JNR, just think Will, is a hungrier(no pun intended) driver with a s#*t load of talent who will be so much better in his second full season. If Steve maintains his commitment I know he is very talented and underrated and hopefully a bit more aggressive maybe podiums for both cars, but my few dollars in the early rounds will be going on the 18, plus the odd dollar on Lowndsey to recoup any losses.

I just listened to it again and Steve said, "I know that eventually maybe one day the team might be mine". So I don't think Dick is going to give it away anytime soon.

I guess all families talk , and the Johnsons would be no different, and Dicks probably been reassuring Steve that he isn't selling up and that what you put into this team on a personal level is going to be of benefit in the future.

By the looks of Steve, he's worked hard off season, and has taken it in, and probably is sure that DJR is going to remain under the Johnson banner for many years to come.
