Not trying to throw a wet blanket over things here, but how many times have we seen a trim and fit Steven Johnson at the start of the season and a fat one half way through it.
He needs to keep working , he just can't say i'm going to.
he needs to back it up with actions by staying trim and getting some of the results that warrant the talent.

I am hearing you bigcol, but I reckon that Will's performance towards the end of last year may have given Steven the kick in the bum he needed and the incentive to get on top of his game. Let's face it, no other team mate has really pushed Steven and I think this is the start of a reeally great year for Steven, Will and DJR!

Plenty of pressure on SJ this year Col. I think most people are expecting Will to show him the way & if he does, that will hopefully push Jnr to not only stay fit, but push himself to a new level many of us believe he's capable of. Which is a win win situation for himself, djr & the fans.

If he doesn't perform this year & Will totally out performs him, maybe it's time for Jnr to step back into another role at DJR similar to what Paul Weel did at SCAR.

Hopefully he can prove a lot of knockers wrong, (including ourselves on occassions) & give djr some good results this year!!

Bring on Clipsal...

Yeah true Col ; I'm just thinking that Will is going to make a difference, he's a talent, he's aggressive. he's fast , and he's a fittness fanatic.
I know we've seen Jnr wallow by seasons end before, but I'm hoping that he has had a revelation, with the struggle to obtain a sponsor and his barely top ten finish, and seeing will taking up a few opportunities that he would have possibily missed before.
Although I can see how Many could criticize Steve for being average, by those standards he very well could have been the champion this last season.
I like steve as a driver and after years of bringing home a straight car I reckon it's time to put in a bit of biff and start making things happen, and if having Will as an example doesn't work then nothing else is going to.

Nothing would make me happier(apart from a massive powerball win) than for Steve to prove me wrong.
I would love to see a DJR car on the podium on it and it's drivers merits.
I am hoping Will gets some good early results and then takes it to some podiums and possibly a race win.
Mainly to see a bit of competition between the drivers for starters and to possibly see Stevens talents realised.
You all know my thoughts on beating your team mate. It means absolutely ****ing nothing when your in 15th position.
DJR seems to have found a good new sponsor. It's time for DJR to become the competitive force they once were. If not questions should be asked about the staff and the set up. Starting with the drivers and then the management.

Mate it's the old adage.
When the flag drops the bullsh!t stops.

Time back up the talk with some solid race results

Trouble is some corporate backer will probably win it who is not a true DJR fan. He'll probably just want the prestige of having the #1 member tag. I'm tipping $7500 - $10000.

SOLD for $8000.

You are closer than you think Poita.
$8000.00 for #1
$800.00 for Lil Jonnies GST
Plus $800.00 or $1600.00 "ING.com (auction site premuim), 10 or 20% can run successful auctions"

= $9600.00 or up to $10,400.00

ENJOY....................

Astounding, . . . . . you think you're doing the right thing by DJR and it turns out you're making some website owner a heap of dollars.

Me startin' to thinks 2 to 16 could fetch $1000.00 ea, especially if people are out bid early and the price rises for the last numbers.

The good thing about these high bids confirms to all in V8 supercars, be it sponsors, fans and AVESCO, the huge support that is out there for DJR, I'm really happy to see that!

#3 $ 1420 plus gst and buyers premium.

they extended the auction twice and finished it at 11.07 , effectively gazumping the 11.00 bid which was the announced finishing time, the system is too slow and emails don't come for almost 10 minutes.

I thought it might have been a system where the auction only ends after a certain period of time of no bidding activity. So the auction is slated to run for 10 days or however long, but only officially ends when there hasn't been a bid for X amount of time once the 10 day mark was passed
