Yeah! but isn't the site cranking tonight and it's happening out there any way with Burgess announcement. Which he has stated that he is staying loyal to Dick & James to win the Championship. [bw][bw][bw]

Unfortunatlly in this internet fourm age we now live in anyone with a keyboard can post what ever they please.

It is strange that no comments have been released form DJR but im sure DJR know what they are doing.

I think its important to get some things clear.

This all started when Westpoint failed to pay DJR for sponsorship.
The finincal "woes" of DJR were not caused by Dick....It was caused by other sources.

Dick did all he could to keep the old DJR (Nantree) aflot whilst deep in debt.

At the end Nantree was liquidated (Creditiors paid a small % of there debt.)

CS came in with a new business direction and management and success of some degree followed.

CS wanted to controll all of DJR....DJR refused the offfer....As it is hei right to.

Rumours suggest CS wants all or nothing...As it is his right

DJ decieded that SJ would retain a driving role at DJR.

CS disagreed...And many others in the fourms have as well.

SJ is 11th in the Championship (Thats top 1/3) Ahead of Bright Kelly Wilbo.

Would have been higher up if not for DSQ and other non driving issues.

ATB announces his departure for 888....Do you think this occoured in the last 14 days ? I think ATB and RD have been in discussion for a while.

ATB is not the fisrt team manager to leave....George Sheppard...Neil Lowe....Stone Bros....PC.

There are plently of good race guys out there that would cut off a right arm to work at DJR...Im sure he has a few resumes on his desk now.

Rumours suggets JC to leave....Rumours only....But if it happens...Well DJR surrived after DJ JB and the Rat and Wilbo.

JB once quoted that DJR were looking for a superstar...It was sittinmg in 17 all the time...Why ?

SJ held DJR toghether as a driver and as a son during the past 4 hard years....what thanks is he recieving form all the fands SFA !

Will DJR bounce back ?....Yes

Can V8 supercars affored to loose the DJR fanbase ?....No

Can Ford afford to loose the DJR fanbase. ?....No

Do you think after 80 83 87 and a few other years DJR might have closed the doors ?...yes

Did it ?....No

DJ is not a stupid man...he is loyal and brash but not stupid.

Lets hope there is more good years to come....I believe there just might be.

Time will tell.

Spot on J,

one thing Dick has shown over the years is his tenacity, this has been one resilliant team, it is the longest surviving team, and it is way too valuable to be snuffed out by infighting or anything else.

Isn't it about time we started, as fane , to have a more positive out look.[bw]

I support teams...I will support DJR no matter what.

I still support Wood Bros and pray that 21 will win one day again.

But like the famous 21 Wood Bros Car.....I couldnt support 21 if it was not owned by Woods Bros.

They have plans for 2011....I hope they get some go results

As I do DJR.

DJR 10th or no DJR....I know what I will take.

Well said mate and I think you will find that you are very close to the money....

I don't post on forums often and will not waste my time on posting on the other useless sites which seem to endlessly bag DJR, Dick and Steve.

There is a lot of talk about Steve giving it away because according to some others "he never had it", well, I have seen many drivers come and go having been involved in motor racing my whole life and you don't see many who are consistently in the Top 10 race after race. You need a good entire package (driver, team, car - and usually heaps of money aka 888) to consistently run at the front in V8 Supercars. Look at Russell Ingall and Greg Murphy - great drivers but the competitiveness of the sport and their entire packages aren't now enough to have them consistently at the front of the pack.

If you look back over the past 12 - 18 months, you will find that Steve has been on the receiving end of some rotten luck and if you look even closer, you will find that James seems to be favoured over Steve in the pits, usually to Steve's detriment. I know that the team are currently concentrating on winning the championship but what happened to treating the drivers equally?? Both are in the Championship to win (races and the championship).

Furthermore, DJR will release more details when the time is right regarding the team ownership issue - why release something to the media when there is nothing to say? The full story will come out when the deal has been done - it seems to me that a certain person heavily involved in the team is not the guy some people think he is, nice on the outside, an ar$ehole on the inside.

I think that the fans would be devastated to see DJR fold as a team after 45 years of going strong (through both good and hard times) and Dick is a very determined man adamant not to see that happen. He values his fans and his business way too much and do you really think that he would let someone else take over the business, only to push out the Johnson family and have the new owner run it the way he wants to? I think not. How do you think the fans would feel if DJR morphed into CSR (Charlie Schwerkolt Racing)? Would they feel betrayed? I think so.

Until a statement is released, I will look on with great interest as to what people have to say but I myself will say very little.....this has been my 2c worth.
