I was watching Seven News tonight and there was A story on DJR. It stated that "The Team" were having financial troubles, internal feuding within the team, and James Courtney wanted out.

Did anybody else see this and is it true?

Written by Gordon Lomas who like James Phelps can never write a story without getting it wrong.
When it was first reported Nathan Tinkler was a Millionaire with a worth of around $610M now Lomas says he's a Billionaire.
NOTE to Lomas and Phelps: Get it right you [jk][jk]

DJR,s troubles were the talk of Bathurst this weekend. It was reported in the paper at Bathurst that the team was divided and that Courtney and several other staff members are set to leave DJR if Dick does not sell Charlie his share. Dicks comment "im not going anywhere ive been here from the start".
Over the course of the weekend it was clear to see that the Johnsons and Charlie were avoiding each other. on Friday i saw Charlie in the back seat of Luffs matt black Lancer arriving at the track, on Friday night at the steak place in Bathurst i saw Charlie, Luff, Courtney and four other people having dinner................no Johnsons

It looks like things may be pretty strained but i hope Dick can dig his heels in because without Dick there is no DJR
I appreciate what Charlie has done, but if he thinks Dick will be a push over, best he sit down and watch a few old bathurst dvd's

Anyone but Tinkler - there was a scathing article in this weekends Financial Review on him - he has few friends amongst the horse racing fraternity - I for one would like to see Dick sell out to Charlie, remain as the figurehead, and see DJR move forward.

As hard as it is to say but I think you maybe right. I rather have a team with the history that DJR has than it fold completely. Just not 100% sure about Tinkler plus having bought other struggling sporting teams that will need money who's to know what happens

I would rather the team fold than have no Johnson (jnr or snr) somewhere other than just standing there

I fear, given the silence that you might get your wish 79. Looks like the johnsons will retain ownership but all talk of performing well in the championship will fade. What a shame all this is. How to bugger a successful race team in 3 easy steps

Has the deal to buy out Charlie been done? I have hot heard anything as yet.
I agree, without Dick or Steve, there can be no DJR.
But as we have seen with FPR, people have short memories..................anyone remember Glenn Seton Racing?
If Charlie was to buy Dick out, im sure the team would not remain DJR, it would quickly be known as JBR and i would be forced to find another team to support.

Spoke at length to Charlie at Brisbane Airport yesterday - he wants Dick to remain the figurehead and retain the DJR name - FFS Dick, after all Charlie has done you should be mowing the guys lawn for him!

Who Knows What?

How can any one say that Charlie was the 1 & only 1 that was going to get the opportunity to invest in Djr is beyond me.

Who knows there was not some entity out there thinking about taking the opportunity up and did not get the chance or just didn`t bother because Charlie did.

No Body would know and to think that you are the 1 & Only is a BIG mistake.

And as far as some comments on here saying if James isn't up there then Djr are not up there well I rekon the engineering & speed of the cars are still a long shot off of being able to compete on even keel with T888 & FPR.

I will bet Dick is thinking he should have done the deal with Marcus Marshalls dad and not Charlie.
