Was very frustrating yesterday (friday) that i couldnt see any of the motor racing at all.

I live in the Illawarra, which is only about 90mins from the middle of Sydney, and by no means a small town..

So why the hell dont we get this new Ch10 Sports thingo yet!??

anybody know when it's due to be broadcast?

Mitch, It's already broadcasting. You need a digital Set Top Box to receive the 'ONE' signal. Preferably a High Definition (HD) unit, but it also broadcasts in Standard Definition (SD).
I was able to watch the Top Ten & Race1 with a strong signal on SD - I'm in Sutherland so you should be able to get the signal.
You can also get a USB Digital Receiver 'Dongle' that you plug into your PC/Laptop & attach to either your home antennae or a set of rabbit ears antennae & it works well.

Car61, its not there. Not just Mitch, me too. SC Ten is too f%^&ing cheap to set it up. Have a look at the general motorsport forums. lots of people not getting One HD or 12 SD

I don't get Sydney stations either. I get the south coast ones the same as Mitchell and I can't get One either. Southern Cross needs to remove the finger from the rectum.

i was reading about it on the ten forums, and apparantly they DO have the ability to simulcast the HD channels, but they dont have the means to chop up the HD feed and insert local advertising, so they just dont do it..

BASTARDS!

[iag] And it's not like I live in the middle of nowhere! I'm in the Hunter Region covered by 10 Southern Cross northern. There is a population of about a million in the broadcast area, apparently not enough.[rt]

Let's face it fella's according to channel 10 were just Mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed nothing but shit.
I don't have HD or anything like that but to sit throuhg all Diffey's bullshit on Ten yesterday from 11am till 5pm only to find that the telecast finishes 5mins before the race, i can tell you i was pretty darn pi$$ed off.

...................and at the beginning of the broadcast they included V8's in what they would be showing.
Perhaps they just meant the parade.

Like Mitch said, the whole sorry saga is being discussed ad nauseum in the One HD discussion on the ten forums. Depends on your zone as to when or if SC Ten will give us the scraps.

I hope Ten is feeling the heat from viewers fed up with Leigh Diffey touting the wonderful new service during the GP telecast...

For any of you that live in the Hunter region, I rang Southern Cross and asked them WTF was happening with OND HD and ONE SD, their reply was ONE HD will be up and running mid year but ONE SD will not be broadcast at all. I asked them why they wont be broadcasting SD and got a verbal shrug of the shoulders. I also asked if this was the same for other Southern Cross regions and she said that it most probably will be. So, my friends, if you want to watch the ONE sports channel at all you will require HD telly or box.
