Not that it means a great deal but racing is racing so it still should be interesing.

1st. M.Ambrose Class of the field.:)
2nd. C Lowndes The time has come to perform:)
3rd. M Skaife Presuming he get's in the right car as the HRT & HSVDT look a bit too similar for me.. [)]

Hopefully DJR keep their noses clean & give us a solid top 10 result.:)

Seto may throw in a surprise top 5 - but for mine Murph will shatter the field, and look for Ellery - out with a point to prove as well.

I'd expect Rusty, Marcus, Skaife, CL, Richo and Murph to be right up there all weekend. Suprise performances to come from Ellery, Tander, Bargs, McConville and DJR.

well 15th & 20th is about what we expected. What is encouraging though is that Johnson was over 2 seconds quicker than last year in a car that hasn't turned a wheel since Bathurst & both Jnr & Seto very happy with their new mounts..

How good was Brighty..

I predict that Toddler and Bright will take each other out on the first corner and Gonzo will win.

I' not surprised to see DJR a little off the pace as they have 1 untested car & one that hasn't tuned a wheel since Bathurst as long as they can get quicker through the weekend after a few tweaks they have there test before Adelaide to get things right still.

Am I the only one impressed with todays result.
How good was it to see #17 passing cars toward the front of the pack & to end up with to straight Barra's (Although Tratty made me hold my breath for a sec )hopefully we will see them make further progress tomorrow..

Todays result was good, Espcailly Jnr's... Seto was lucky to get throught the first lap when Kelly & Bargs spun. Seto just got throught that!!

Yeah, happy enough with today... having only seen results (until they all go to bed and I get free reign of the telly)

Race 2 was disappointing to watch!!! After such a great start for both, Seto just missing the supercheap car & 5th & 11th behind the safety car.... But.... They both went backwards quick smart afer that!! What ever they did overnight clearly did not work.

They were both looking alright for awhile but then when backwards maybe their cars didn't look after the wets as well as the other teams.

I think it was an indication that SBR and HRT have their package pretty well sorted: they managed to look after their tyres better than anyone else on wets, also I believe the last two races show exactly how under-rated Jason Bright is, either as a driver or a developer... PWR seem to have been unhappy thus far (sepecially today!), and the FPR car is as quick as ever... 888 aren't the flop that many were predicting yesterday (on other forums I might add)... the grunt comparison between SBR and BJR was interesting: JB had bulk traction off the last corner, but Marcos pulled it all back by the end of the straight... lost out a little for grip in the braking area.

Bowe's (and BJ's) drive today was magnificent, never a foot wrong, decisive a winner all they way.

A little sad to see 17 go backwards today after finding themselves right in it early, but I think that the cars must've used their tyres early on. Still we've fared better than many... roll on Sunday!

Yeah, bit disappointing Henry but it is early days & I'm sure they just got the setup totally wrong for the conditions. Still got 2 straight cars though unlike some other teams..

Lowndesy really was a goose for joining 888... Not only is FPR firing, but Marcos' announces he's leaving the Stone Brothers, at the end of the season..

anyway... I was really happy with the 10th. Watching him go backwards in R2 was dissapointing... but i wasnt expecting anything too flash from the weekend. Bring on Adelaide.

(And Webbers' in 3rd [:p])

What happened to jnr in race 3??? He was parked on the side of the track... Did not look like there was any damage, but not good to get an DNF!!!

Looks like we got away with 2 straight cars & good tyres, thanks to yesterdays wet wather tyre race!!! Bring on Thursday & Clipsal.

Umm Mitch, isn't Lowndes contacted to 888 for one season only?? I am not sure, but the kid behind the wheel of a Stone Bros car would be awesome.
As for Seto and Junior, I think the old fella (lol) did the best job - they still seem to be lacking straightline pace though?
