Well as ive been away, i havent seen any of this new branding, so the orange comes as a suprise to me...

I do think the whiter-look is nice... but i think they should have got rid of some more of the black/red... the front and back look like they dont belong to the middle of the car...

anyway.. im not one to fuss about liveries! as long as the damn thing aint lost any pace!!

Gotta luv what James had to say in Auto Fiction that hit the stands today. He is going to risk the championship and go for wins at Philip Island and Bathurst.

Here is a scenario for you to chew over Jimmy.... 3 laps to go at the mountain, car 17 is leading the great race, car 18 is running second and half a chance of closing the gap and winning.

I would rather 2010 be the year that #17 won the great race and the driver of #18 a championship winner.

James doesn't have the greatest track record when the heat is on up there, but I will admit that he has definitely matured as a driver and his outright pace allows him to lead from the front alot these days.

Cheers
John

What a nutbag. I would go for the championship

the gamesmanship is on, James is trying to put the oposition off the fact that they will probably have one of their back markers target him if they think he's doing a conservative "hold the title" race instead of going for the wins.

Nice work James, . . . [bw]

To be perfectly honest mate, as much as im enjoying DJR being on top at the moment... the fact that it's in car 18 takes some of the shine off it.. JC's a champion and i wish him all the best, but Jnr is still my #1 [ak] If 18's leading the race with 3 laps to go, and 17's in second... i'll be praying that JC makes a mistake...

I guess the deep down preference would be for #17 with the Johnson name on the window to win with the #18 second, but in reality, I don't care.

1st - 18
2nd - 17 [y]

or

1st - 17
2nd - 18[y]

Yeah im with you. I dont really care, but as you say.. if you had to choose.. you'd choose #17..

To be fair to JC, he probably realises that 99% of the support he gets at the track is due to his allegiance with DJR, so i dont think he can complain... But hey!! if he sticks around long enough, he could be another John Bowe figure. Someone that is as much part of DJR than DJ himself!!

Sorry but i want 18 to win and then go on and win the championship.
I want Courtneys points at Bathurst maximised so he wins at years end

Yep 18 for the win at Bathurst and c/ship.
If 17 came second to 18 that for me would be as good as a win as team orders could have made it a win for 17 if they wanted to.
