The gain that Jnr made today was due to the stuff up with the safety car.

yep, that was a serious stuff up and we did benefit from it but then again we lost out a couple of years ago to a pushing and shoving wincup who actually gained almost a lap including hos pitstop in the OS arabian round.

lets see how race control cover up this mess though.

Fat lot of good it did us though. Even jumping so many spots due to the stuff up, our best driver placing was 10th. I can't help but wonder how far back they would have all placed without the safety car debacle.

The performance of Patrizi was a real eye opener. With the experience and resources at DJR, why the hell weren't one of our guys fighting for a forward position?

To be perfectly honest, I'm getting sick and tired of watching in vain, waiting for one of our cars to be in a position to challenge the front runners. If it hadn't been for that exciting finish I would have written it off as yet another wasted Sunday afternoon[help]

Im with you Quasi
Its getting hard to stay a one eyed DJR fan, im getting way too much enjoyment watching the FPR guys take it to Whingecup

Watched yesterdays racing today, was no different to any other round this year, lucky as DJRMAD said, FPR are taking up the fight or it wouldn't be worth watching.

One thing I did hear, replayed it many times to make sure, was Whincup's engineer telling him to "get them both or get them both off". [jk]

You know what, I thought that's what he said, but i wasn't going to say because i didn't record it.

The fact is Frosty had the chance several times to tapp the back of Whingecup but played it fair and clean, even the final move was clean until Whinge realised what it was all about and tried to push out, in vain. It was good to see the second FPR car play like part of a team and get the perfect team result, unlike the day before effort from our garage.

I bet Whingecup was out in the trailer crying after that one.[crackup]

Edwards to respond to dutton’s comments

http://www.v8supercars.com.au/champ...s-comments/tabid/70/newsid/12439/default.aspx

THE V8Xtra crew have swung back into action in the wake of last weekend’s Tradingpost Perth Challenge at Barbagallo – and there’s plenty to discuss on this Saturday’s show.
After their clean sweep of race wins in Western Australia, Ford Performance Racing is riding the crest of a wave and Aaron Noonan will venture to the team’s Melbourne workshop to catch up with Team Principal Tim Edwards.
We’ll get his thoughts on the inflammatory comments made at the last corner of last Sunday’s final race by Jamie Whincup’s TeamVodafone engineer Mark Dutton, who clearly let his frustrations spill over when he suggested his driver should eliminate both FPR Falcons at the last corner.
The issue of the Safety Car was one of the massive talking points from Race 9 of the championship last Sunday and Neil Crompton will dig deep into the who, what, when and where of how it all unfolded to explain exactly what happened.
Mark Larkham will check in with one of the teams most affected by the Safety Car issue – Stone Brothers Racing – and its team manager Dave Stuart, and Larko has also spent some time this week with Tekno Autosports Michael Patrizi, who racked up a career-best fifth place at Barbagallo.
It’s a jam-packed show with plenty of ground to cover in the wash-up from Barbagallo and airs on Saturday May 12 at 12.00pm on Seven.
As always, check your local guides for full broadcast details in your market.

Should be interesting to see him try and weasel his way out of what he said. Team Vodafone's problem is they've had it too good for too long, now that someone else is sticking it to them they have their tits in a tangle. They don't own this category and its not their god given right to win every race.

Not good form from Dutton.

Would expect that from Whincup but didn't think Dutton was like that.

Whincup lost second because he tried a push to pass on Davo at turn 2 and had to get out of it. That gave Frosty a run at him up the hill and allowed him to get underneath him.

If Whingecup hadn't been grubby at turn 2 he might have even got past Davo for the win

Suck it 888
