Motorpsorts news has an article today that says Will Davision is set to be the 4th enduro driver along with Seto, jnr & Canto.. Plus a drive in a sparate DJR AU in the development series...

Quote: "Nothing is signed, but worthwhile discussions have taken place."

Starting to look like a great lineup for Sandown & Bathurst [:p]

Will Davison would be good especially if he can get some miles under his belt in a BA beforehand. I would love to see DJR to what Supercheap have done and sign some enduro drivers for say 2 years and get some stability into their driver line-ups. Too many changes over the past few years.

I,m rapt with the inclusion of Will (if it's true MS news). You could pair any of the 4 drivers & you will have the strongest line up possibly in DJR's history..

Now there is a forum topic: "what is the strongest four-driver combination DJR took to Bathurst?"

Johnson-Schuppan-French-Brown?

or

Johnson-Johnson-Rat-Ellery?

or your nomination?

I really hope that Will gets a long-term drive with DJR as he certainly seems to have the talent to go a long way in the game. Also, with the guys that DJR have now, the future is looking solid, they simply need to ensure that they can give EACH AND ALL of the drivers a car that can deliver.

On another thought, is this a big wake-up call to Junior (and to a lesser extent Seton)? With Canto on fire in the Development series and with Will (hopefully) coming into the picture, there are some REAL contenders for the top two seats.

This ought to make the enduro's really good for DJR.

Agrred -Canto is definately one of the most under rated talents in this country, and deserves a fair dinkum full time gig.

As for Seton -I think he is driving better than ever and seems to have the fire back in the belly.

As for Junior, we all know whats in his belly -no wonder McDonalds shares are on the rise!!

Seems like the other day we were praising the efforts of SJ after the Clipsal 500. After Pukekhoe she's gone full circle..

One has to think that Steve Johnson is the most scrutinised out of all the V8 Supercar drivers because of his famous & very successful father.

Must make it very difficult but "them the breaks". He will bounce back....Just hope that Seto can lead the way & make Jnr push that little bit harder which will benefit everyone at DJR..

Um, back to the thread topic....It has been officially confirmed that Will Davison will be the 4th DJR enduro driver for 2005!
This is a real positive for both Will and DJR, and I believe it is one of the strongest driver line-ups DJR have taken to the enduro's for quite some time.
Now for driver pairings...I will have to start a new thread for that one !!!

A fourm is a place of discussion about a topic, be it good or bad.
I believe if the post is not defamatory or down right wrong we should be able to post it.
I believe all the fourm members want a sucessfull DJR.
But if in the course of a fourm, comments are posted that might appeaear negative to DJR so be it. As long as it is constructive and made with thought and passion.

Its your fourm Mitch and you can set the rules as you like. But if you want to stop negative comments that are just I for one will not post agian.

Hi Mitch - whilst you have absolutely taken this site from strength to strength - and whilst I totally support Dick -and always will - I dont particularly like junior - especially having spent a day with the team at indy when i was involved in the website - in comparison to Max he was lacklustre and well and truly not switched on - while Max analysed data Junior yakked with his invited mate who shadowed him for the day.

Mitch. I agree with Doug this site is a credit to you.

Let me paint a picture for you.
The other day on the way to work I saw a man protesting on the steps of parliment house.
He was critising a goverment policy.
He was a man who voted in the last election.
The elected member concerned saw this protest noted it and walked away.

You see it his his right, some say his obligation to question the qoverment and he was allowed to do so providing he didnt break any state or federal laws.

If DJR get upse because fans posting "negitive comments" then DJR are in more trouble than Michael Jackson.

What sort of world would we be in if all we had was positive comments and no negitive comments or critisim.

Great news about Davison. 4 top drivers & pair them as you like as you can't go wrong. I seem to like the Seton - Canto combination & with Davison coming on board, that may now happen.

#17 - Jnr & Will
#18 - Seto & Canto

There's a difference between constructive criticism, and just being horrible, guys...

I don't enjoy having to be 'A Moderator'.. but there's nothing constructive about 'no wonder McDonalds shares are on the rise'... it's a personal joke, and it's not on..

True Mitch.

Anyway Henry's $0.02 (excludes GST).... Marvellous news about Davo! DJR have shown consistently over the duration of the 5 litre formula (and in the latter days of Gp.A) that they're only too willing to foster new talent. Look at the roll call of youngsters who have gone through the ranks (and the ones now classified as veterans too I guess).

If only we could run 15 cars!

& not just on the driver front Henry. A lot of people in the industry today have been brought up through the ranks & starting with DJR.

You often wonder would Ross & Jimmy Stone be where they are today without Dick Johnson Racing. I know they were pretty competitive with Miedieke & Waldocks teams but DJR & Shell Racing were the one who really gave them their kick start.

A lot of drivers & mechanics will one day sit back & thank Dick & Jill Johnson who have given them their kick start to their careers...
