What are we expeting/hoping from DJR at the AGP??

It seems DJR are the only team to not be testing before the AGP, with Seto & the new #18 not having turned 1 wheel together... I'm not excepting much from DJR this week & hoping for 2 striaght DJR falcons more than anything else!!! I think if any of the 2 DJR cars can pull a top ten this weekend, will be in for a ripper year..

Can't wait!!!

Considering how fast Stevens new car was at Sandown, there is no reason that Glen will be that far off the pace. If he is as good a setup guy as we think, he should have no problems getting up to speed. Provided they have no mechanical issues !

I'd like to see a top five but realistically a top ten would be more like it.
The thing that scare's me is if DJR don't start to show some proper speed out of their cars it might be like the last couple of seasons where things have been far from good.
Come on DJR lets kill'em

There is only one, 30 min session before qualifing at the AGP, not even god himself could make a car that has never been driving good against other cars that have had a full day testing behind them!!

The trouble also seems to be that if you aren't on the front two rows of the grid, you tend to be caught in the ping-pong ball effect when Morris/Dumbrell/Tratt and Co. decide to take someone out at the start.

I think it's really not too bad of an option to not use a test day up before the AGP as its not for points anyway they can use it as a mini test day & then work on anything they find at a real test day

one would have to think that the car will be pretty close in setup when it hits the track, Seto did drive the other BA before Xmas, so they would know the basic setup required, granted 30 mins is not a long time, buts lets stay positive.

PS. I have seen the new car (show car) in the flesh at DJR and it looks much much better than the pictures, the development cars look great as well, and he caps are cool too...and if you are lucky like i was DJ is at the workshop and signs them for me !!!!!:)

With the cars going on the track tomorrow I'm a little disappointed there has not be a pre-race media release!! Is that norm for DJR???

Joe, I would presume most of the information to this point has been posted in the 2005 launch releases. With neither car having turned a wheel this year, there is probably not much more to report on. I'd imaging we will receive some info during the AGP weekend and expect a pre-Clipsal media release also.
I do not have any expectations in terms of results from DJR at the AGP. I'm not really worried where they finish as long as they use the track time to their advantage, log some data and make forward progress throughout the weekend. I am hoping more than anything that they have 2 straight cars at the end of the weekend so this does not interrupt their scheduled test and preparation for the Clipsal. I will definitely have high expectations of DJR at Adelaide.

Straight cars at the end of the weekend, with good test data. That is all this weekend is for a team in our position. I am not worried about position except we may get in someone else's drama back where we are. Stay out of trouble and get some miles under the belt. This is like a pre season trial in either code of footy. No injuries to cars please. P.S. Where is the new merchandise, my three boys are making noises about SBR and 888 gear already.
