News this morning of the passing of Geoff Polites, after a hard-fought war with cancer.

Blue Oval devotees have lost their greatest warrior.

He was a visionary as well as a motorsport fan, and almost single handedly brought Ford out of the abyss and back into serious race car support, thanks Geoff, you will be missed.

Absolutely gave all us Ford fans pride back in the badge was all about passion for Ford and saw motorsport as a way for that(not tennis or golf as it was before Geoff)

Very sad news indeed. He's right there with Howard as far as his contribution to the blue oval goes as far as I'm concerned.
