there's 2 or 3 articles on speedcafe about the series moving forward with this deal, car of the future, and it being recognised by the FIA...

Theyre talking about it being an 18 round series, with the FIA allowing a maximum of 6 races outside of Australia... With Toyota and Chrysler and whoever else in the series by 2013, i'm sure plenty of other countries will be keen to host a race.

I'm excited personally... V8 Supercars are going a bit stale in their current form...

Where are these International races going to be held? Here's hoping Nascar and V8SC can work out something for Infineon.

Any major change to the current structure and ownership of VESA can only be a good thing.

Article in todays SpeedCafe states that the new owners only see this as a maximum five year project before offloading it again. [sh]

So with the teams only getting 40% in the future rather than 75% , once they spend their 4 million per car on buying new ones and replacing all the gear where do they think the lost income will come from.

I can see a massive shitfight over teams not being able to be profitable.

I give it a couple of years before it happens

And despite the COTF being brought in to keep costs down, teams will still spend just as much trying to climb to the top

I think you are RIGHT on the money Col
