...and after 7 Origin series wins in a row, Petero rested.

Bloody good game though.

Did anyone notice Gallen standing with all his friends?

Hey Col,
You canetoads must have a different Rugby League rule book.
If you drop a ball and kick it before it hits the ground, how could it be a knock-on.

Typical Maroon supporter, grasping at straws.

By the way how's your injury toll?

Bring on game 3.

Our injury toll is fine

How's your box of tissues going.

Yeah i'm a typical QLD supporter laughing away at the Bloosers.

Typical New South Welshman grasping at the Origin sheild for the last seven years.

Can't wait for the whinging from the deep south regarding Hodges try even though Farrah was no chance of making the tackle

Put aside all the interstate rivalry and that was one of the better deciders
Regardless who won, it was a great game

NSW selectors still have work to do. Carney and Peace left a lot of questions to be answered.

If they don't sort out their halves who knows when they'll win a series again.

Lockyer and now JT and Cronk with Cherry Evans waiting in the wings. More bad news for the blues

Ok, here's my whinge as a Blues supporter.
How did Nate Miles get player of the series? There were better players out there. Maybe because all he did was lead with that massive forehead of his when tackling Farah until he got it right on the mark and had him concussed which he got away with.
How was a try awarded when it was a clear obstruction, all of the commentators agreed it was or should have been an obstruction, you can't run behind your own player and have the defending team deviate towards that player.
Shillington gets away with murder.
Greg Ingliss you are a f***ing grub and i hate you with every fibre of my being, but shit you played a blinder last night, can't take that away from you.
Agree with Col(cant believe I said that)NSW still need better halves and need a better kicking game, but at the moment I can't see an alternative.

All in all a terrific game of footy, one of the better SOO games in the past 10yrs, not the result I was looking for. Can't deny it though, QLD still the better team, but only by a very small margin, NSW halves play better and I reckon they'll be about even.

RANT OVER!

Nate Myles was the best player over the 3 games. Personally i would have given to JT

It wasn't an obstruction. It was a poor defensive read, and Farah even had his arms up before Hannant got anywhere near him. If you slow mo the aerial shot from behind Farah never took his eyes off of Hannant and was expecting him to get the ball.
Farah wasn't going to get anywhere near Hodges and it was poor defence by Scott and Carney was no more than a speed hump. Never stopped anyone just slowed them down.

Ray Hadley was just on the Footy show saying that last night he said it wasn't a try but after watching time and time again today thought is was.

Got to laugh, Freddy Fruitloop was going off about it. Andrew Webster was like every Daily telecrap juorno. Way off the mark
Once again no comments from them on the Morris try because the only thing that stopped him dropping the ball was Darius Boyd. Dead set Knock on.

On Shillo, well i could say that Grant and Aussie Tamou got away with a lot as well

It was a fantastic game and unfortunately for you blokes it was NSW that lost.

If this isn't the best contest in the world i want to know what is

Dead set Col you should get along to spec savers and take them up on their 2 for 1 offer!
You've certainly got a problem with one of your eyes.
Agree with the try from Hodges - no obstruction.
Morris try- where was the separation for your knock-on? I've replayed the whole game via PVR and in slo-mo and nothing wrong with that try!
What I did pick up though is that Brett Tate is a first class GRUB.
Starts a stink and then goes and hides and no penalty results.
Threw the first punch at Gallen in the tackle, Gallen gives him one back and cops the penalty? Go figure.
Same in game 1 - Tate was first to run in and land punches but when Jennings does the same and hits Tate - QLD penalty and sin bin!
If you disagree get your game copy out and have another look AND put your new specs on Col.

End of rant.

Sorry 7 teen 8 teen but i find it funny how New South Welshmen are quick to call Tate and other Qld players grubs when you have a team (Almost full) of grubs.

If you go back to the tackle before the Tate/Gallen incident you will see Grant #8 go into the tackle on Inglis with a swinging arm to the head, then follows up as the 2nd man into the tackle of Tate with again a swinging arm to the head only to be followed into the tackle by "Elbows" Gallen as the 4th man into the tackle.
Have to wonder why Tate lashed out with 4 blokes on him, Grant with his forearm firmly planted in his face and "Elbows" on the top adding his little bit. You too i am sure would have done the same thing if you were in Tate's shoes (I know i would have) and that so called punch Tate allegedly threw wouldn't have bruised a peach.

I'm not saying that the QLD players are all angels as they are certainly not but when you look at NSW

Stuart (coach)- Played his entire career as a grub
Gallen-Grub 9/10 tackles he has a high shot and then finishes it off with an elbow/forearm on the face of the tackled player and then gets up using his knees.
Bird- Grub not much better than Gallen
Grant- Grub Threw quite a few swinging arms into to tackles.

Gallen is very quick to use his grubby tactics but even quicker to whinge and cry to the refs when those same tactics are used against him.

Yeah, so whats your point?[sh]
Oh that's right, they're not QLDer's[jk]
If that grub Tate can't handle a bit of a facial in the opening minute of an origin decider then he shouldn't be there.
As far as I'm concerned, the biggest grub on the field who always flies under the radar and gets away with murder is Thaiday.

Was it wrong of me to wear the state of origin shirt to work on Thursday with three "Blues" supporters who'd been actually using maths to claim NSW would win, not even able to say the team would play better, just quote the odds.

Have to say the grim looks on Thursday . . . . all day . . . .was worth it.

not one of them would put money on the NSW win either

Today they were all able to quote all those same so called infringements , watching what Tate did, you'd have to say he wasn't punching, he was making the point that he could have been returning the favour, and didn't.

Anyway, . . . . . . 7 in a Row [y][y]

How can you tell when the plane from NSW is here.
When you turn the engines off you can still hear the whining.

If i need to go to spec savers you softcocks need to go down to Bunnings and buy a bag Sunstates best cement and HTFU

Big bad Tate has the hide to give Gallen a push. Gallen in his typical hot headed no discipline way throws an airswing and it's on. Bird comes in and gets sat on his grubby arse. Tate gives the scumbag what he deserves
You cockroaches cry Blue murder but ignore why Tate took offence to the tackle in the first place. He copped a punch in the head from Grants swinging arm.

Hypocrites , have you all forgotten about Hayne punching JT in the head.

Is it any wonder why i enjoy QLD handing NSW it's arse on a platter
7 in a row and no joy for the Bloosers. Your Halves suck and QLD has the likes of Cherry Evans and Barba waiting in the wings.
Next year it's 8
There's kids in primary school in the deep south that have never seen a NSW series win
You blokes and the grubs that play in it make it way too easy to hate that piece of crap Blue jersey

RESPONSE-
Col, State of Origin is the only time I hear you have anything to crow about when it comes to the footy, every other post about the footy from you has been about the poor QLD NRL teams and how they are hard done by from the NSW conspiracy thats going on to advantage the Sydney teams. It must be nice to put aside the usual QLD inferiority complex.

Good, my only problem with that is that Grant didn't hit him harder!

Again, GOOD, I'd love to punch JT in the head too!

Thats what probably what makes us different from those in the deep south.

I don't condone what Tate did.
But all the bloosers are forgetting what started all of it in the first place. Then whing about it and then when hayne is bought up getting all defensive and going into denial

Conspiracy theory [crackup][crackup][crackup][crackup]

Thats a beauty.

Broncs, arguably the most succesfull team in the NRL since it joined and probably the most financially sound.
QLD looking for 8 big ones next year.

Better take that tinfoil hat off it's starting to affect your judgement
