Confirmed - Fiore hands license back the V8 Supercars, no buyer and no budget to run it in 2014. I wonder if this will be one that Skaife gets??

That's got to be hard,.. . . . .just handing it back,. . . . that shows the real value of what an REC is worth to this category now since CotFjooked came in,. . . . couple of years back they would have been in a bidding war. [rt]

If Skaife gets this one for diddly squat,. . .pft [jk]

There is still a chance that Dumbrell and Dalberto could hand their licences in as well.
It just goes to show how hard it is to raise the sort of dollars needed to run these cars...............................................is that Tony Cochrane i can hear laughing in the back ground?

Regardless of anything else, TC is a bloody good salesman!
It's extremely rare for Archer to make a wrong decision about investments and yet his salesmanship won them over.

Wonder if he's just waiting in the wings until the time is right for Phoenix...

Dahlgren to Volvo Polestar announced today, Really??? Alex Premat was starting to drive really well and could muscle around the street tracks and get good results. Premat spends all that time over here and then gets shafted for another Euro rookie.
It shows how much influence Polestar will have over GRM.

If you were going to go for a fast euro with seat time wouldent it be Ekstrom? It would have to be big money to lure him from Audi in DTM but worth a try?

Dahlgren may surprise but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it. I guess if Volvo are paying the bills, they get the final say. Premat was starting to come good so it is a bit of a shame for him. I don't think another Euro rookie was the right way to go .

Agreed! Or it could be a long year for Lucas! I think Rusty will be a bit more difficult to push around than the young blokes that have been there so far. I don't think he will be sacking Mr Ingall every Thursday before a race meeting![tsk]

They cant be serious, his performances in the development series have all but ruined races for young guys trying to make a name for themselves. He has never had the outright speed or consistancy to match the big names yet they are going to give him a drive..................................all i can think of is that the rich arrogant dude has bought his seat at a time where teams are strapped for cash

Perhaps Longhurst should be hired to keep him under control.
Loved watching Longhurst smack him one in the Diet Coke BMW
