Silly Season 2014

This looks like being one of the silliest silly seasons yet! Unfortunately DJR can and will be affected. Lot's of Questions!
1. Will Chaz be back at FPR fulltime in the #6?
2. Does that leave 17 for Steve Johnson to come back fulltime?
3. What will Fiore do with his REC?
4. Will Tata enter using the Jaguar branding? If so, which team?
5. Will Ford continue sponsorship?
6. How is Adrian Burgess' garden looking?
7. Will Tander be at Nissan next year?
8. Who will sponsor DJR next year?
9. Will Gary Rogers stick with Premat?
10. Will Wilbur go to Erebus?
11. Will Betty stick with Maro?
12. What will Paul Morris be doing?
13. Will Maurie Pickering max out his credit to join the main game?
14. Will LDM sell up?
15. Will TDR sell up?
16. Will BJR sell the Jobri REC?
17. Will Erebus be running 2 or 4 cars.
18. Will the Rosenberg REC end up at DJR?
19. Will Charlie team up with Tekno?
20 Will SVG go to HRT?

It is too hard to get any clarity right now but I hope DJR can stay at two cars next year, if not would a partnership with Erebus be worth looking at? It makes sense if Betty decides to run 4 cars. There is a long way to go before this silly season is over![sh]

12. Trying to ruin another team by his bully boy tactics. He was a major part of DJR's pre season problems along with Pickering, Quinn and Jennings.

17. 2 most likely, they wanted four but are still struggling getting what they have up to speed. May go to four, if as what has been rumoured, there is a fire sale of RECs for 2014.
18. No unless 2. becomes a reality and 8. doesn't become a reality.
19. Paul Morris will likely have the last say in this. Tekno have the option to buy this REC now the lease is up but Morris has stated he wants it back. Unless Tekno can easily get another REC, which looks likely it will, there may be some issues to sort through. Tekno would be much better off without SVG and Quinn.
20. No, I hope his next move is permanently back to NZ. Why the Webbs ever got involved with him and his lot is beyond me. They have lost so much respect and support.

No partnership with EREBUS, they have one with FPR, this will remain indefinitely.

There might be some truth to this but where goes this dickhead James Phelps get his info from. I was speaking with Will a couple of weeks ago, we talked for over an hour, he does not have a current contract with FPR like Frosty and Reynolds do. He has been trying to get it locked away but he said Nash wanted to get Ford sorted out first, this is still dragging out. Will said he had two good offers but wanted to stay at FPR, Pepsi want him to stay for the term of their contract, another two years. Everything went pear shaped for Will at Sandown when clearly upset by the teams tactics, Tim Edwards was more than a little pissed that Will aired his disappointment on TV and has told Will as much. I think Will is on the outer there now but it may come down to what Pepsi want, but I'd say Edwards would be doing a good job of selling Chaz to them.

This all happened after DJR were already told they could keep Chaz for 2014, this has not done DJR any favours for next year, they had potential sponsors locked in but now without Chaz these sponsors will more than likely walk.

Personally silly season is just that, I dont tend to loose to much sleep over it.
If we took notice of all the rumours in the past then DJR would have folded years ago.
Guess it sells magazines and makes money for some one! :rolleyes:

Chaz WILL be driving at FPR next Year. The driver leaving is rumored to be replacing another high profile driver..... His team Boss had been seen in deep discussions with several of the drivers over the weekend. as for the high profile driver I have heard a couple of scenarios that he will be driving a nissan or a volvo. But I think a company AMG car might not be out of the question. As for DJR to stay with ford my best guess would be using thier one rec to run with betty.

I can't see, Dick running a merc, when the alliance with FPR is starting to bear fruit in terms of performance gains ,. . .maybe in 2015 if Ford are out [?]

Rumblings of Percat to DJR. Blanchard would have to be struggling to hold his spot without some serious backing...

Do you mean Cool Drive, the Blanchard family company?

On track commentary at Bathurst mentioned that Dale Wood has good backing, and it wouldn't be surprising to see him turn up at a QLD based team near year in the main game. Could this be DJR?

Skaife to run a Nissan in the enduro's but not through Kellys, He was seen in the Nissan talking to the head of Nismo at Bathurst and Nismo want a car to be competitive at Bathurst 2014 or heads will roll. Rumours Rumours [drive]

Confirmation this morning that Chaz is being called back to FPR for 2014. Driving Pepsi Max Ford with Frosty who's re-signed until 2017.
