Wondering what your thoughts are on politics in motorsport.

I am a huge fan of Formula1, in which politics is a huge part. I enjoy watching/reading all of the political woo-ha goings on in F1.

However, I am starting to notice that politics are getting more and more involved in V8s, and it is starting to piss me off (I watch V8s for racing - little of which occurs in F1). The Queensland Raceway issue is a good example - just check out the V8Supercars website...

I guess it is unavoidable with all of the money involved these days...?

i'm wondering if the v8 supercar head honchos are getting to big for their boots, they seem to be demanding a lot from the race circuits, one instance is they won't honour the 500 life members of Queensland raceway that have obviously kept the circuit running.
i believe they will also lose a lot of fans this year with so many bogan taxis running compared to ford, but of course they will blame something else for the decrease in numbers,

I think it is about time that Dick, Seton, larkham & Skaife went on their own and start a new category. Send cockbrain to the retirement home.
