You'd all be aware that we have a special visitor of late. Please take the advice of a rather tired and cranky moderator and PLEASE don't encourage him - he will be looked after in due course if he persists in his old tricks.

While I understand the frustration and ire of many of our valued members, any responses to the flaming that you may post will make it harder for me to deal with the issue effectively, and I don't really want to take any action which would effect anyone other than he who merits it.

ANYWAY. I've sent him to bed until he can play nicely... if you guys are experiencing any problems with the site due to something I've knocked, email me and I'll see what I can do. THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE!

No, thankyou Henry.

I logged on yesterday evening to see that someone had posted a reply to every current topic and started several new ones. I knew right away who it was without reading any. I just logged off again (not interested).
So thanks, I can use the site again.

Cheers, guys. The only downside is that I haven't got the operator privelege to just lock him or delete him: I've had to restrict access to the forums: he can't get in, but nor can any non-member or anyone not logged in, or any new sign-ups (until I put them on the access list). Seemed a better idea than turning "moderator mode" on, and having to authorise each post (the way the old djr site worked).

A little voice in the back of my head keeps saying "you should give him another chance", but he's not going to change: his behaviour last night, after warnings here and into his email inbox went unheeded, showed that.

Anyway, we can go about our business again for a while :D

OK, I've de-limited the forums again so that new members can get straight on... will be loking closely at how things go for the next little while.

In the meantime, if we get get any more visits, don't dignify any of the rubbish with a response - I'll dig the rot back out when I get back in.
