people say alot of things about OUR Jnr.. But no one says he's dirty.

Always keeps the car clean.. I've got a feeling it's gonna be a massive year for him... New Ownership, More Sponsorship, and fitter than he's ever looked, having kept fit for the entire season 2007..

Mitch i'll be the first to put up my hand for giving him a bagging but when you look at him today and the results he got last year i think i was warranted in giving it to him.

I hope the big fella kicks some arse this year and then goes on to win at the hill

No humble pie here mate.
Although i'm a bit partial to a nice steak pie with mushy peas over flowing the top of it.

Last year junior was fit and he was fast. Same this year although EC wasn't his day. The year before he was around 120 plus kilos and a bit average at times.

He has no proven to me he is dedicated.

I have always rated Steve as a driver. Clean, easy on the equipment and very few errors. My only criticism in the past has been that he sometimes lacks agression. Now that he is fitter, it should be easier and he should be more consistent. The only thing I don't get is how Will had pace all weekend at EC, yet Junior absolutely struggled for speed? I know Steve is not a big fan of EC, but that is ridiculous. Wilbo absolutely hosed him off!

Favorite race

Where else but Lakeside 1981.
DJ getting the jump off the line and then holding Brock out with a broken front sway bar.
Luckily a good 351 always had more grunt than a boat anchor 308
The TV footage of the two cars into the Kink is unreal, they were hammering!

Symmons Plains 1990, Brock v Johnson in Sierras, hammer-and-tongs, and CLEAN. It took DJ a while to get past Brock, and he finally made it out of the hairpin. Brock was completely out of control into the hairpin, and it would've been too easy to unload him on the exit, but it never happened, Dick even pausing to allow Brock to gather up a half-spin, and off they went again... great stuff...
I still have that race on video Henry. Great race!! The Shell Sierra's severely lacked straight-line speed at the beginning of 1990, but DJ had a far superior chassis and through extended tyre life he gradually reeled in Brocky for the win. Gee they were the days...
