I think Lowndes made a BIG statement this weekend. H e is my pick for the championship.

Another good drive from Steve. It seemed that the longer the race went the better he got.
I am going to take Lowndsey driving away from the field with a grain of salt RJ. Sure, he did an awesome job, but with so many teams treating the weekend as an extended test session as well as many saving their new tyres for future test sessions it's difficult to jump to any conclusions.

All I know is that DJR have renewed pace this year, and with some fine tuning and a bit of luck Stevie and JC will be right up there [scarf].

I share your anger BJR, Southern Cross are the channel 10 carriers up here in Newcastle and they are crap when it comes to HDTV and they are not even carrying ONE on SD yet. I taped the whole day on Saturday, came home Saturday evening and watched practically the whole tape and then after F1 qualifying was all set to go with the V8's and they said "see ya here's the news". PISSED OFF!

Southern Cross are a childrens TV network anyway, just look at the majority of thier program lineup. It's based around teenagers, with all the reality TV, and others who have such a pathetic life of thier own they need to sit and watch others having one.....even one that is orchestrated for television.

The sporting side of things is there fill in space in between, at times when thier target audience are generally sleeping off a night out, or back at thier jobs at MacDonald's or Hungry Jacks. How can this same network be expected to know how to program content for hard working adults.

I just read in another forum that the single quali for both races has been dropped.
Lets hope so for Juniors sake...

Yeah. They still aren't sure if the separate quali sessions will be on the Saturday or if there will be one in Sunday morning. Sounds good to me.

I hope it goes back to last year?s way, 1 qualify season for Saturdays race then the finishing positions is the position for the Sunday race. It rewards qualifying and thena good race result. Also making you race for a better position allowing you to climb the ladder. The current system is making you start all over again if you muck up a single lap

Agree Mitch. I have created a new thread for Qualifying Changes and moved my post over. This thread will remain for Manufacturer Challenge Races from the F1GP in Melbourne. Cheers!
