Not sure if there are any of you out there that remember the Repco Reliability trial that ran in 1979. It was won by Peter Brock in a VB commodore. Stumbled across a re-running of the trial in my town this morning.

They are re-running the Melbourne to Kingoonya section. The commodore which came 2nd in 1979 has been restored to original, after it was found in a qld backyard, basically parked after the 1979 event. Still has the Marlboro and taa livery! Bit of a shame it wasn't publicised more, would have been great to see more than 1/2 dozen cars at the servo this morning by chance.

G'day Paddockbasher. My mate Peter Ferguson and his father (yes THE Barry Ferguson) both restored this car back to original condition for use in nostalgia events like this but have yet to drive/codrive together. For the record it is the original car that he ran in the event where he finished second to Peter Brock.
