It certainly wasn't... Dick and KB had given it a run on the Saturday arvo, and were a bit underwhelmed. George Shepheard, on the other hand, thought they should've been able to make it into something (he had built that car the year before for Alan Jones... AJ refused to race the thing, as it was a pig - mainly due to the rear suspension, which kept everybody on the wrong foot with the XE - and Bob Morris had given the car its only win, in the Oran Park enduro in 1982... Dick had pitted out of the lead late in the race, and couldn't get back from second place... it had crashed heavily on the Bathurst Saturday in 1982 when a wheel broke and they couldn't pull it straight in time for the race start that year). It ran creditably in 1984 as the Freedom Fence car... at least for a while. Seto drove it once in anger as well IIRC...
That car's current livery is not accurate for the car: I believe that it's painted up as the Greens-Tuf Falcon was prior to Hardies Heroes... and of course, Mk 2 never appeared in period in that guise...
