I read elsewhere that DJR recieved Zilch from SuperMax.

That was on 10 tenths though....

This must be a load of crap, as Steve thanked SuperMax on the podium today. Should have realised when you quoted 10/Tenths, one idiot on there and the other place has Greg Murphy coming to DJR next year. [jk]

SuperMax on the windscreen for no coin? Me no think so [tsk]

Especially when he only mentioned them and Jim Beam, if they weren't handing out any dough then all the other sponsors not mentioned would be mighty peeved me thinks.

Good to see Metro Ford on board with djr now. Noticed it at PI & again at WA.

Well they weren't going to keep pouring money into tr888or.

Now if someone from DJR is watching Dexion will not be sponsoring tr888or next year as they are Falcon GT fanatics and wouldn't sponsor a Holden.
They are however weighing up their sponsorship of Lowndes.
If tr888or were going to be in Fords next year the sponsorship would have continued, so there is more than likely a budget in place.

So get on the bloody phone and see what sort of deal you can do with them

Hey dad if Ford don't give you any money for next year maybe you could stick a Jim Beam can on the grille of the cars :D

Metro Ford has been on board all year, it's just that they have had a greater presence on the car since bathurst.

Pretty much a roll over from Southside Ford who have been onboard with DJR for a while now. Southside Ford (who no longer sell cars) and Metro are owned by the same parent company - Eagers.

Col, as you suggested, Dexion has confirmed they will not be at T8 next year. Would be great if DJR could snap them up!!!

Now that's a bit of a worry because when I grew up in Bris Vegas Eagers were the Holden company i.e. the enemy!!

AP Eagers is a pretty diverse business, i believe there is some connection with a couple of other varieties of car maker, property development and even super.

Ford President Marin Burela was present at today's race and got to witness James' victory first-hand. This will certainly do DJR's plight for Ford funding no harm.

I spoke to Charlie yesterday and he said that nothing has been finalised but he has been in frequent discussions with Ford and he is 'reasonably' confident of receiving Ford funding next year.

This being the case, SBR is contracted until the end of 2010 and FPR until the end of 2011, so if something was to eventuate next year, Charlie believes it will be minimal.

Let's hope we hear some positive news on this front shortly.

Fingers crossed Poita!!

SBR are officially "in the wilderness", and FPR are merely a 1-car team.

On a modest budget, DJR has secured 3rd in the Team's Championship and the Best Presented Team award two years in a row, as well as several race wins and podiums.

If you look at the popularity of these three teams at race meetings, DJR wins hands down, so if Ford wants to save any face they should get on board quick smart.
