11th jnr
12th Seto

What alet down... Very bad pit stop from DJR on Seto... Seto had fantastic pace in that race.. We would have finished top5 if not for the pit stop... He was on fire at the start. Up to 8th on the first lap & overtook Camron & bright to be 6th before pitting. Then drop to 19th after the pit stop & yet still made his way tto 12th....

Bring on tomorrow & watch out for Seto... His got very good pace!!

What a Stuff up....

Seto changes tyres on one side using ONLY 1 air gun.
DJR said the rules only allowed 1 gun per side. (Insert groan and DOH here)
As for Junior, engine change after pratice yesterday resulted in a loss of straight line speed.

Im off to watch the football

Seto had to change the left front after the incident with Brighty flat-spotted the tyre. DJR's interpretation of the rules was correct and this is why the stop took longer than if they had only changed rears. If the left front tyre was ok, they wold have only done rears only.
Seto's car does have good pace so he will be one to watch for Races 2 and 3. If the boys can do something about the striaght-line speed in #17, then DJR could be in for a strong finish to the weekend.

Looking at the lap times after race 1 ROB 17, Seton had the 6th quickest lap time, which proves #18 obviouly has some pace & Jnr proved what their capable of on friday. Pity they didn't have another gun engine for #17...

While a frustrating weekend so far, their has been signs this weekend that things are on the improve...

Let's hope for a good result today with both cars ending up well inside the 10.....

Can 3 or 4 kms/hours on top speed really make such a big difference??? Jnr thinks it costed him 3/4 tenths a lap... I'd say that is a bit much from just 3 or 4 kmms/hours??

Joe, Jnr has been doing this crap for years, have a look at the same meet last year at Barbagallo on Natsoft & you will find he did a very similar thing to this year in reference to Friday practice to the all important qualifying, & he always comes up with some bull**** excuse.

Look, the cars ARE quick enough, #17 proved that on friday & Setons race laps yesterday proved we,ve got pace. I am getting to the stage now where I'd just about give my right nut to see Dean Canto do a couple of rounds in #17 & see how he would go..Maybe Steve can't handle the pressure of qualifying or what it is I don't know, but at least with Glen in the team now, we are getting a yard stick on what the cars are capable off & let's face it, Seton has passed more cars this year driving #18, than Jnr has in his 5 & a bit years in #17.

When DJR first signed Seton toward the end of last year, I for one wondered what was going on at DJR & thought he was a has been. But 3 rounds into 2005, I now think it's one of the best decisions Dick Johnson has ever made in his racing career..

Race 2

4th.. Jnr
15th.. Seto

Well done Jnr, good drive

And I could cry about Seto!! Seems another pretty average stop by DJR dropped him a good 5-6 in the pit stop.. Then T. Kelly sent Seto wide & dropped another 4-5 spots.. But he did recover a bit to come in 15th.. But on the positive Seto set the 4th fastest time... Where is the luck???
