Could be wrong but wasn't it painted in the colours of it's much anticipated new sponsor, Fulcrom computers or something. I think it was still blue though wasn't it????

I'll have to check now as this will bug me if I don't!!![}:)][}:)]

Yep Rob, it was painted the same blue as later on, but it was intentioned because he had a potential deal from Facom Computers if he broke the lap record, which nearly happened till Craigg Zoom Zoom Zacka got all messy in front of him during Dick's "hot lap" in the mixed race. Also rumoured that he was being courted by the Liberal Party, whose colour was also predominantly blue.

I may be wrong! But, I think it turned out in grey, with no sponsorship or lettering. And something telling me the front spoiler only may have been white. Not sure if when i`m remembering is a test day for the XD at a normal club meeting.

4 ever 17 - The 1st time it turned a wheel in anger was at a club meeting in July 1980 at Lakeside - minus a rear spoiler, and to quote Dick " they were still doing wheel alignments etc at the track."[8D]
