At least someone at JBR has a sense of humour

On their facebook page today a pic of #17 being loaded into the transporter with the title
Nearly ready to head to Homebush... loading the silver bullet onto the Jim Beam Racing transporter...

Don't think "bullet" is quite the right term to use right now about #17

Well, maybe we just need a "gun" driver to pull the trigger..........

They called it the Silver Rocket at Sandown, I said hopefully it doesn't missfire...it did, now they are calling it a Silver Bullet, lets hope it's not a blank.

The top four cars in P2 of the Fujitsu series are faster than the Jim Beam cars in P3, this is getting embarrassing. [rt]

We're nearly 2 seconds off the pace, WTF have they done to these bloody cars, rockets for the first half of the year and couldn't pull the skin off a custard in the second half.

Dont worry about firing the silver bullet, fire the clown that has made what must be a major change to our cars mid season, we desperatly need a gun engineer to get these cars to the front in 2012

Who came on board with the clout to make changes that have obviously not worked, not worked and not worked and why is he still there?

Dean Fiore looks like he will be our lead driver next year

He is in P19 at the end of the day (James in P21 and SJ in P25) [rt]

Maybe we should be moving our workshop to FFF's shed at Arundel

In an enterprising day for The Team, The Moff and Steven Johnson have managed to maintain their top 25 form. Steve spent the day roading old tyres, testing the new CSIRO developed cooling system whilst the cars are parked in the pits and signing autographs. The Moff strapped on a new set of boots for the last session and moved up to an inspiring 21st. "These new boots are so much more comfortable and I can fell the pedals alot better now, I'm really looking forward to racing in them". Steve Johnson said "I'm glad to get out there and get to know the fans better which was a bit difficult earlier in the year when the cars where too fast. We are going slow enough now that I can sign autographs through the window net". Both drivers are pleased with the progress made by The Team and are really proud of how fantastic the cars are looking. The Team will be back on track tomorrow for qualifying and some parade laps later in the afternoon.

Those results for practice, qualifying and the shootout just show how consistent the cars are.
I don't think I've ever seen the cars have absolutely identical lap times throughout. [y]
