Don't think this is actually one of our favoured circuits. DJR have struggled over the years to get results here. Think JC was luck to snag a top 5 last year?

Very quiet at the track today, looked like numbers were down on previous years.

My highlight so far, was getting a ride in the transporter parade yesterday. Great atmoshpere heading through town, and damn, did the air horns echo in downtown Darwin (if you can call it that....)

Does anyone know what the problem may have been?
Were they saving their tyre bank or were the cars sliding around like a dog on lino?

They only ran two new tyres on Juniors car in the last practice session, other than that they ran on older tyres.

Great result for Steve, showed some good clean pace and aggression where needed and stayed out of the way to benefit from whingecup's dickhead move out of turn 1 which resulted in the field getting on the gas early and almost causing some serious accidents after the resulting dragrace. I'm so over the commentary team too, what's with the winterbottom "propped" he was rammed up the ass and would have had zero traction until the rear settled,. .WTF,. .will whingecup get away with it again? he should eb excluded from the race result in my opinion.[rt]

only thing for certain wont be Whingecup's fault he is after all "the king" according to Skaife and co. At least Stevie got some luck for a change after 88's brain dead move

It's a big step in the right direction, well done to the team today.

Steve slipped back in the pits as they put 4 new tyres on, most of the other front runners did 2, it certainly helped in the latter stages enabling Steve to pull away from Lowndes.

Geez I'm glad I'm not a HRT supporter, can they get any worse? For a team with the biggest budget they are acting like they are new comers to the sport, some of their mistake are very amateurish.
