More Moffat & Bond

Something that popped into my head this morning (I have no idea why), and I have not looked up the answer as yet, so figured it would make a good Trivia question:

Q. At Bathurst in 1977 we all know that Jackie Ickx was Moffat's co-driver, but who drove with Colin Bond in the #2 Falcon that year?

Wasn't it Alan Hamilton ?

Yeah, now that you mention it....it was.

But who co-drove with Bond in 1978, given that Ickx came back for that race as well?

IIRC Ickx drove with Marvin and Fredo Gibbo' drove with Bondage. CB outqualified AM (can't remember positions) but they were both out of contention early.

Yep, Hamilton had a massive F5000 crash at Sandown and that was the end of his circuit racing career, so Fred Gibson was pressed into service. The Bond car got the staggers early, ruined a gearbox, and other stuff, despite leading early, Moffat had punctures IIRD, Ickx spun, and then they set the thing on fire.. ultimately lunched an engine, and Moff pulled the #2 car out of disaapointment.
