Well, if past and present performances are an indicator, they'll win in the #1 car.

I think only bad luck or dirty tricks (ala Tom Walkinwhore and his tribe) will stop them.

I agreee that if car 1 won Bathurst would be tops but it would be better if it was car 17[sc]

It would be a big call to change a winning formula, car 888 has won the last three years running, but understandably they would also love to see #1 win the big race.

I'm with 79maq though, would much prefer to see a 7 after the 1.

I don't see why they wouldn't be. DJR have had a pretty good run the last couple of years with their 2 permanent drivers sharing the car.

888 seem to have the winning formula at the moment, but there is at least 5 driver combinations that can do the job on the day. I reckon that they are:-

Lowndes/Whincup
Tander/Davison
Johnson/Courtney
Davison/Van Gisbergan
Frosty/Richards

Triple 8 have certainly put their hands firmly on the endurance races for the last couple of years and will be hard to beat. I would love the #1 to win.

I reckon we have a good chance in 17 if crash Courtney can keep the red mist in check, it'd be so great to see our boys on the top step at days end at Bathurst, . . . . .
But if if cant be , then let Lowndes and Whincup bring Car 1 home for the win.

I think if 17 is to win Bathurst this year. (Which they are more than capable of doing) ( EASILY ) Then Jc has to drive think & play a back up role to Sj. I agree that this years Bathurst will be the best ever & we can win it. 2nd choice will be Coulthard. And if all else fails T8 will do.
Go Sj09V8CHAMP.- You can still do it! [scarf]

JC to do the First stint and run away from the feild as he done last year, And Junior to grind it out in the middle stints (Maybe double) and JC to bring it home. If T8 run 1 instead of 888, The luck of the Chinese wont be with them so its 17 all the way this year [bw].

I think 17 has its best chance at the mountain since the Legend retired. Jnr is improving with age and JC knows how to get a podium at Bathurst. JNR performs his best at the enduros esp Bathurst.

Looking forward to Bathurst this year.

Provided Crashney doesn't try to win it on the first lap 17 is a real chance.
Notice how DJR had tyre problems while dollar Bill was in the car last year.

888 are mad you don't change winning formulas so they should leave it as #888

No one is real sure how many stops they are going to need at Bathurst this year because of the E85.
My guessing they will need either 6 or 7 stops for fuel.
If it's 6. I'd let Crashney do the first double stint and then triple stint Steven and then double stint Crashney to the finish
If it's 7 stops. I'd just double stint them all day and give them 2 double stints each as the time behind the wheel will be shortened because of the more regular fuel stops.

SORRY!.......But Sj to start & finish with Jc under strict instructions to circulate in touch with the front runners & don`t RISK anything. I would love to see 17 in 1st but 3rd would be better then nothing.
