While I thought it was pretty piss weak him driving the Merc it's good to see him giving DJR the best chance at a win or podium.

He has a lot to offer in the enduros

Just for those that haven't seen them yet, here are a few photos from the recent rides day at Lakeside.

Pete, who is the sponsor on the rear quarter panel? also, any news on a windscreen sponsor?

Cheers.

Knox Transfer Station - Passenger side
Waste Management Services - Drivers side

I'd say they're somehow related.

Nothing on windscreen sponsor as yet.

So what does everyone think so far? I have been impressed with both drivers having shown glimpses of speed but not having alot of luck. Scott Pye IS a talent and David Wall has had good speed on occasion but needs to be more consistent. I think Stevie J and David Wall could be a surprise packet come the Endurance races.

I agree totally. I think the team is really gelling with the drivers and you can see it with every round

So who has the inside goss on 2015?

Will this year be the last year we support DJR as we know it?

Or will we be supporting a team owned or partly/majority owned by an American businessman?

It was interesting to hear Crompton when he announced the entry list for this weekend. Crompton referred to Scotty Pye and David Wall driving for "the legend, Dick Johnson" and then said "car no 18, Jack Perkins for Jeld-Wen Racing". No mention of Charlie Schwerkolt at all. I guess that pretty much underlines the standing and relevance of both men to Australian Motor Sport.

Sad but true to hear that Steve has had to declare himself bankrupt. The Johnsons have had a pretty difficult period over the last 10 years. I sure hope a Penski deal can help them out with some cash

With all this talk of a third DJR/Penske entry for Bathurst, could this become a more permanent thing for next year with perhaps a return to full time driving for Steve? I was trying to think who would be able to do a better job and apart from bringing Ambrose back I couldn't really think of anyone. Sebastian Bourdais is another posibility. Anyway, could Penske expand to possibly 3 or 4 cars next year? With what manufacturer? Maybe we should start a 2015 Silly season thread.

If DJR were to run 3 cars at Bathurst surely one could be a 20th anniversary livery of the "1994 Winner", Continuing the theme from the last few years.
Maybe Jnr could drive it? as he debuted for DJ in the Fuddruckers EB. And maybe a Penske Indycar driver?
And run the other 2 cars in the Wilson livery?

Junior is taking over Matt Stones Dunlop Series entry for QR and Townsvilel to get some much needed miles before the Enduro Series. It will decked out in Wilson Security colours and run #170.

Yeah it's a good move,. . .to get some miles up before he get in with Wall at the enduro's ,. . . . I think he's going to find it a bit rougher than he's used to,. . .

He's not taking over an entry of Matt Stone racing but they are adding another car to the 3 they already run with Junior driving and Campbell Little engineering him.
