Just read this on Speedcafe....

[Quote: "“If we were to run three, we’d run three all at the same level,” Swetnam told Speedcafe.com.
“There’s no use having one star car and two ‘lepper’ cars. You’ve either got to do it right or not do it at all.
“We would only run it if it’s going to be competitive. I have no interest in running a billy at the back."]

First thoughts are their two cars are already down the back of the field, maybe you should fix this before you take on a third car. And i just wonder if the third car might be for Moffat with Holdsworth already signed for 18... But then where are the REC licence coming from to do this....

There was the rumour that the Morris RECs were for sale.

But the story is "insinuating" that Fiore could be coming on board as a satellite team.

Holdsworth HAS been signed by SBR so any talk of him going anywhere else is just that TALK.

Where's the money coming from would be my question as before you can buy REC's you need the folding stuff.

Fiore, LDM (would need to purchase a Ford) or even Tekno returning would make the most sense as they already own the REC and have a car to bring.

I think DJR is still short of money and this is why the sold chassis no 0019 to one of the development teams recently.

Johnson, Moffat, Fiore would be a logical bet. Not sure where else the REC would come from....

Might be in preparation should CS takes his REC away in 2013 ???

I know this is what the media are saying but unconfirmed, i understood Dick had first option on him and this is why Moffat only had a one year deal!

Who owns chassis 0021 someone said on V8 Central Charlie might own it!

And weekends like the one just gone don't help much

If they are going to make some good coin out of it, then go for it - but we need to focus on getting 2 cars right, and these last 2 races have been embarassing enough without the focus being on 3 cars

I wonder if Thompson could be returning to DJR? Looks like he may be retuning to the main game.

"At Phillip Island, Dane confirmed that his entry in the Fujitsu Series would remain in 2012, but without its current driver Andrew Thompson."

Thommo was one of Dick's best discoveries, he has belted them for years in the fujitsu series when he's had a good car under him, and he did a pretty good job on the weekend. Would be a good coup to get him back.

Steve said to me at the Team Mates night that they have a REC sorted and won't need to rely on Charlie's REC to field two cars in 2012.

DJR-FAN spoke with Charlie at Bathurst and he said he was not doing anything with his REC until 2013. DJR may run three REC's next year just so they don't lose the new REC they have apparently just acquired and revert back to two in 2013 when Charlie takes his back. [sh]

Jason Bright just signed a long term driving contract with BJR. Could his REC be the one that comes to DJR? Selling the spare car may not be as silly as it first appears. With COTF coming all current cars will become redundant at the end of next year so why not unload it now while you can still get good coin for it?? DJR still has a spare brand new chassis up it's sleeve for Steve to run next year which will leave them with a spare car again. Makes good sense to me.[sh]
I'm only speculating, but how's this for a possible scenario?

DJR buys Bright rec.
CS takes 18 rec and combines with Tekno to make 2 car team.
Fiore joins DJR to form 3 car team.

Reindeer is using the Britek REC. Now that Bright has committed to a long term driving deal with BJR and having received his payout from the partial sale of V8Supercars, there doesn't seem much point in him having a REC anymore. There is no sponsor or driver in place beyond this year either for the Britek REC sooooo......... I'm probably way off the mark but you never know![sh]

Other stories doing the rounds are......

1) Bargs will stay @ BJR

2) A. Davo or Fabian Coulthart to take-over the Reindler ride

3) Ingall will take 1 REC with him, from PMM to WP

4) Webb has/will purchase the 2nd REC from PMM
