There seems to be a bit of talk on another less reputable forum that there is a possibility Ford will be sending some cashish the way of DJR in 2010. Do any of you benders know anything about this and has there been any word, official or unofficial out of DJR about such a development?

I hope this is true.

The team deserve the backing of Ford - Always bloody have.

The extra $$$ should be a weight off DJ's mind.

Hopeful.

I bet ya anything it will happen.

[bw]It would make sense to me and I would also think that some of that money may be to run a 3rd car for next year with James Moffatt.

If I was FORD, I would be saying to any one who wants Ford cash that they must support back by purchacing all parts & accessories from a one stop engineering shop headed by Campbell Little who would have access to every Ford sponsored teams data & work shop avaliable.

Yee! Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

DJR definitely deserve to get some funding back. They are after all the best performed ford team this year which really just shows how stupid a decision it was on fords behalf...

Ford have freaked at the fan backlash against T8's since their defection to the darkside was announced as well as the lop-sided manufacturer count in 2010. As such they have realised that the only way ahead is to appoint a motorsport manager once again as well as spread their money a little broader than 2 teams if they are to save themselves total embarassment. Given the results of the last 2 seasons, surely DJR must be in line for a bit of cashola? ;)

I spoke to Charlie on Thursday at the track and he said that they are not giving up on trying to get backing again as an official factory Ford team. Fingers crossed everyone, as Charlie is a good business man and I am sure that Ford are listening to what DJR have to say.

What chance James Moffat in a DJR Ice-Cold Coca-Cola Ford Falcon?
Sounds good but can't see it happening. Besides, I would rather DJR concentrate all their eforts and resources on getting 17 and 18 on the podium regularly in 2010.

Without having read the article I'm guessing its a customer arrangement with PCR which has been speculation for some time. Can't see it being with FPR or SBR...

They have put proposals out to a few teams but Charlie is not saying who.
