They spent more time in the pits, only one serious hit out whilst I was there but the car appeared to have some issues. Bartman might have some updates as he was hanging around the pits. I got a few photos then left, too bloody hot for me.

any word on how he went? Impressions of his first serious slug at the car?
Without giving too much away, running on average tyres and having troubles with his braking and getting used to the sequential gearbox (poor clutch LOL) when the rest of the field find out what lap times he was doing they are going to seriously shit themselves. :p

hehehehe, hope it was a good day for familiarisation, and that the next one sees him looking serious!

That puts him a least a second off the pace of the fastest lap time of each driver from this years QR round.

Ambrose was issued with a set of new tyres for Thursdays test so it just proves it will take him a little while to get truly competitive.

A few are expecting too much from him this coming weekend, if he gets in the top ten he would need a lot of luck, it would be great to see though.

I was out at QR late on Thursday whilst MA was finishing off the days testing.

When I arrived at around 3.30pm he was circulating on used tyres and a couple of us clocked him lap after lap around the 1.10.3 (maybe 10 laps in a row). A pretty good race pace I would suggest!

After the days testing was finished MA was signing a few bits and pieces and we asked how the day had gone. MA replied "we did a 1.09.8 during the day"

That would have been on green hard compound tyres so a pretty good result I would say.
