The Vodafone logo on the roof of the closest white car is just a leftover from 888?????

One of their roof sections???

Also doesn't have the fuel filler ports??

Is this the demo car maybe?

Bloody curious.

Thanks for the pics though boys.
:)

That is Whincup or Lowndes car purchased from 888 by Webb.

It's Craig Lowndes's car as i remember reading an interview with Roland Dane who said they were going to keep Jamie's car as it had sentimental value as a championship winner.

Here's another photo showing all cars in the workshop. The one high up on the hoist is still the spare chassis I believe.

This might be a stupid question but on 3 of the cars there are fuel fillers on both side yet on the car under the BF there are no fuel fillers

I would guess that the one with the black roof is a demo/show/promo car. no fuel filler and the rear window and 3 of 4 side windows look to be tinted.

it has a full roll cage though, doubt they would be using a full blown race car for demo/show purposes, last year they had stock standard road going Fairmonts from memory so they could be driven on the road to and from meetings.

From the pictures its doesn't even look as though its got your normal fuel filler that a standard FG would have

Went to DJR this morning to collect a couple of models and got the run down on the FG's.

There are in fact 5 FG's there at present. DJR have to have a car stickered up for the V8 Supercar launch and as they are pushed for time with getting three cars ready for the first test day they have borrowed Whincups car from T8. This car is having the panels removed and replaced with DJR stickered panels and after the launch will have the panels removed again and the T8 panels put back on, this is why the roof still shows the Vodafone sponsor which will be covered over for the launch. Also this is the reason no fuel fillers are required.

Does anyone know when the DJR launch is and where?
Auto action and Motorsport news seem to be so bloody concerned with 888 and HRT they have forgotten about the mighty DJR.
I would love nothing more than the Jim Beam cars to blow Simon McNamaras wankers off the track in the opening round. Im getting sick of hearing how they will win everything and lock the podium up with red.
Someone should give him a motor racing history book, because if my memory is correct, when the GTR Nissans were winning everything, crowd numbers dropped and so did the television audience, he wont increase his sales if no one is watching!

i agree a very bad business move by v8 supercars to let this happen, but they are still trying to tell us it's going to be a huge season of racing[bgn]

You only have to look at the recent lack of crowds at the 50/50 cricket games where the Paki's were clearly outclassed and in addition the restrictions to bringing your own food and drink and the banning of anything fun has turned crowds off bigtime, even the Australia day game at the gabba which is always a sell out was laees than half full.

No one's going to watch a one make series even if they allow a few token other makes to run the rear of the field, it's becoming a farce.[rt]

Hey, I was at the cricket at Adelaide oval on Aus day, and it was a sell out. The only reason it looked empty was due the members deciding not to sit out in the sun, but in shade. Pity the game wasn't all that interesting though.
