In an exciting announcement today, Jim Beam Racing revealed two new liveries for the 2012 V8 Supercars Championship season. Driven by Steve Johnson and Dean Fiore, the cars feature two of Jim Beam’s newest additions; Honey and Devil’s Cut.
This is an exciting first for the iconic racing team with all previous season launches featuring the traditional Jim Beam White liveries. Steve Johnson, now in his sixth year with Jim Beam Racing, will race his #17 Falcon, with a sweet addition. Featuring Jim Beam Honey, Steve Johnson is looking forward to having a smooth and successful racing season.
Jim Beam Racing’s newest recruit, Dean Fiore, is fittingly teamed up with Jim Beam’s wicked new product, Devil’s Cut. Harnessing the attributes of the premium, more intense bourbon, Fiore is looking to unleash his delivish streak this season and be a frequent visitor to the podium.
Ray Noble, Brand Director – Bourbon, is thrilled about the upcoming season; “We’re looking forward to a really exciting season with Jim Beam Racing. Dean is a great new addition to the team, and paired with Steve we know they’ll excel on the track. The new car designs are really different to anything we’ve done before - we can’t wait to see them ripping around the track this weekend,” said Noble.
Dick Johnson, Australian motorsport legend and team owner, believes Steve and Dean won’t be the only ones revved up by the new liveries.
“There’s been a great atmosphere in the garage during the lead up to Clipsal, the drivers and the crews are all really looking forward to the 2012 season. The new liveries are drastically different to anything Jim Beam Racing has revealed before, and it only adds to the excitement the team is feeling in the build up to the race,” said Dick.
The slick new livery designs were revealed prior to Jim Beam Racing’s official season launch in their annual Party in the Pits.
Jim Beam Racing’s new car designs support the launch of Jim Beam’s new consumer promotion, The Vegas Job, where one lucky Australian will be flown to Las Vegas, along with five of their friends, to engage in a series of daring stunts in order to retrieve the stolen Jim Beam recipe. Each contestant will be matched with the Jim Beam product that best suits their personality, and will include both Jim Beam Honey and Devil’s Cut in addition to Jim Beam White, Jim Beam Black, Black Cherry and Bonded.
