Congratulations Toddler.
Kept his nose clean to upstage the boss.
Good to see him break through for his first solo V8 win.
Had Ambrose kept out of trouble and his pit crew not made mistake's, i'm sure it would have been Ambrose first daylight second.
Good drive by Lowndes watch out when they get some grunt, that's all they are lacking know, as the car seem's to be handling ok.
Maybe my prediction about Murph losing his confidence if some one knock's him off in Pukehokoe is right.Qualified badly and only got where he did due to other people's misfortune.
Bowey's starting to get some speed, just need's a bit more consistency.
Skaifey is trying to hard, he need's to relax and stop over driving the car. That's because he's under a lot of pressure to perform.
Rick Kelly was good in race 2 but just can't do it consistently.
Ingall and Ambrose both recovered well after each had there problem's.Ingall's problem was Ambrose punting him.Ambrose's was an errant wheel nut.
DJR hmm what can i say.Qualified badly, engine failure twice, Off for Luffy.A dismal weekend

Could have been worse Col, that drive in the last race by Steve was a good effort, now if #17 did'nt have that bloody engine drama on saturday it would have been another consistent top ten result for Steven. Bring on the next one!!

Craig was unlucky not to do better... What happened on the grid, in the last one? I had to rush out as soon as the race finished and didnt hear the round up...

Same goes for Russell... I wouldnt liked to have been in the Stones' pit after Race 2... Marcos seemed to be in a pretty firey win, over the weekend.

I'm starting to sense that DJR are getting really close to a really good result... I know the car qualified poorly, again, but Steven has been driving so cleanly, i just think the car only needs a small improvment, and he could probably carry it on to the podium...

The highlight for me on the weekend was Skaife. What a poor sport he is. The bloke is as likeable as a kick in the shins, and his effort of blaming Ambrose for his own mistake was what I expected of this poor excuse of a human. Great to see Todd win, just so Skaife cant blame his team. Just a shame DJR had the problems they had, just when they seemed too of come good, all was not lost though..

How about Ingalls comments on the Skaife Ambrose incident: "I think Skaifey was too busy rehearsing his victory speech & forgot the race wasn't over yet". Classic Russell Ingall.

Yes a great weekend for Holden pity DJR did not have a better run.
Toddler did do well perhaps next year he will be the HRT number one driver :)
I was waiting for Ambrose to get a drive through for hitting Ingall but his pit crew got a drive through for him instead.
Ambrose had every right to pass Skaife and Ingalls comment was funny.
I am just damm upset that Richo did not finish second in the last race.
Kmart had a real dirty race 3 how good were their tyres or just bad braking?

DJR's weekend was a worry.
Yes Steve had a good final race but when you look at the lap time's Steve is still a second off the race pace of the top team's.
A second in qualifying is 25 grid position's.
DJR need to find that last little bit or they won't be challenging the front runner's.
Hopefully they will have great car speed at Bathurst, that way poor qualifying won't hurt them as much

Yeah Col, they have never gone any good up there for some reason and it's supposed to be a power circuit which makes it even harder to understand. I to looked at the lap times on NATSOFT & they are a good 1 sec of the fast guys race pace, but they seem to improve over the weekend where as a lot seem to go backwards.

re skaife, his frustration must be immense. re ambrose punting error, deserved a penalty as he displaced the top 3 to take the lead, even though it was a mistake, he should of got pinged for it not the reward of 1st place. was a great weekends racing though, good to see todd get the win and make a few good strong passes. (bigcol i think he previously won a solo round at sandown when driving for kmart). 4 rounds 4 winners and richo really putting the pressure on. bring on barbagello.

The punt on Ingall was a bit much... I wonder whether the Stones' get a say in a situation like that? (Might be a stupid question)

umm not so much a stupid question - but what sort of say would they have, as the incident has already passed -I am sure Marcos would change the outcome if he could travel back in time.

Would they be given the decision on whether or not Marcos gets a drive through? Considering that the car he punted was a team mate...

He wasn't given a drive through for the incident so far as I know - I may be wrong, just ask my wife, but I thought it was for one of the wheel nuts being lost in the pitstop.

Yes... Did he not get one because the Stones' said they didnt want him to have one? Are they given a choice as to who gets punished? Because of the situation (Both cars are theirs)

... probably not...

What is the point of bothering to give the teams a choice, as I could not imagine a team boss demanding one of his drivers get a drive through. Personally I reckon he was quite lucky. Must be something bout having the no1 as until this year Skaife was the luckiest man in v8s.

Could do Peter
But i think the only thing that saved his bacon is the fact that he punted Ingall, which just happens to be his team mate
