Seven needs to get the ass......nothing like enough effort being put into the series. All these channels have multicasting too now...why can't they dedicate one of those channels to each sport...like Ten and OneHD....ridiculous

I guess it all comes down to the anti-syphoning laws which don't allow them to put the telecast on a second station, which suits me just fine, as where I live, we don't get the multicasting channels. How I would love to get OneHD. Some days, I just think we're lucky to have electricity!

In my case, I guess it's just a good excuse to go to the races, which is far more interesting than watching in on the couch. Mind you, the beers cheaper, the foods better, the lineups are shorter!

Change The Chanell Charley!

Having been in most parts of Australia and tried to watch Australian Motor Racing over the years on those rediculous stations as S.C. / Ss / Wn etc I can really relate to some on here who are copping the same thing. ( Still ).

In 2010 we have a great sport and all Australians should have access to the races at a normal time. FFS, sometimes I`ve seen 3 games of AFL on the one day on the same chanell.

I don`t agree with 1 station having the rights to more than 1 national sport if they can`t broadcast it in it`s entiritey within a certain time frame.

Even the current broadcaster doesn`t really show much in the sports section on the NEWS.

Give me the FAN a Comitted Station Please Mr Cochrane??[help]

Channel 7 at the last round couldn't even show a bit of darwin in the Brisbane news at 6pm on the sunday night.

All they had was the results going across the bottom of the screen on the Ticker

And then there is my favourite.......cutting the ****en broadcast in favour of the AFL or the news.....WTF is going on there. Anyway, I'll stop talking about it now.

BTW, does anyone know if we can get an audio feed of the bathurst 7 network commentary on a radio of some sort? If there was one thing bad about last year, it was not really being across where everything was up to during the race. The screens in the Pitlane Club are live commercial free all day but as you are wandering in and out, back of the pit garages etc...its easy to loose track of whats going on.

Anyone got any ideas/recent experience they can impart??

It's not the Ch.7 feed, but if you tune any FM radio to 103.9 - you'll hear the Bathurst on-course commentary (includes ads).

For anyone interested, last year's frequencies were:

P.I. = 87.6
Wakefield = 87.8
Bathurst = 103.9
Clipsal = 94.3
Sandown = 99.7
Winton = 87.5
Homebush = 107.9

You would get better coverage if you lived in Australia guys..[crackup][crackup]

Not much better though as the AFL says "Jump" and channel 7 says "How high"

7 needs to make a choice, does it want to be the motorsport channel or not, has it just taken the V8's because of some swish campaign and nefarious stats showing viewer growth figures that might make advertisers pay up more?

If 7 can't commit to live airing of the main race, then they should loose the rights by default, and some other channel that is "serious" about providing real coverage should be given the rest of the season.

You have to wonder what kind of happu pills Cochbrain is on to think it's good for the category to have viewers walking away in droves from telecasts that are split around a couple of hours of an unrelated sport.

A big thumbs down for 7.[rt]

You might make it as far as Australia but you've gotta make it past border security to get into Queensland.
As Dick once said on racecam at Adelaide International Raceway in the early 80's that Qld is another country and they wouldn't let intruders in.:D:D

Plus you wouldn't hurt a bloke with a DJR tattoo would you.:D
