Ok, so first some history;

I have been driving since '76 and havent had an accident since '78, about 30 years of good driving history, although I have had a few speeding tickets and a few seat belt tickets because I drive a truck a lot and spend my days on the road and sometimes during short runs , you know, and the older trucks didn't have belts anyway.

So, what the F%#@ happened ?

and why the TS-50 ?[rt][rt][rt]

Ok, in late November last year (07) I copped it when "Ms school teacher" saw there was
no one in the right hand lane and decided to pull out from a side srteet on my left to
get into it regardless of a full line of traffic in the left lane.

I was going at about 70km/ph (in an 80 zone) and even with good brakes firmly applied I
got her in the back wheel of her all wheel drive Lexus putting it out of alignment in a
big way and punching the nose of the TS-50 big time.

Here's the pic;

The repair took two weeks and my insurers had to fight with hers to get them done to my satisfaction, (still not happy)

Anyone want to guess what the estimate was?

Ok, so Friday 16 May, I cop it again, bit of a story;

Following a line of cars behind a Horse float (on the back of a 4cyl 4WD) down a fairly
big country road well below the speed limit and when we get to the straight bit they all
begin to go past except the one infront of me, right.

So I give him half the length but he's tucked in behind the float so I indicate and out
I go with the car behind me following, I get my nose up to the float at about the speed
limit and bang the idiot behind the float has turned into me, I have to continue past
and I pull over, to wait for him , the bloke behind me just keeps on going (nice huh)
and so does the Float,anyway we exchange info and he claims to be innsured and says
he'll get me a claim number.

It's just gone to the smash , again, and this Idiots mum has called me saying the
accident was my fault, and I didn't give details of my insurance, blah blah blah.
anyway looks like my insurance will have to duke it out with his (if he has it)
to get paid for the repair.

So the question is, does this car attract idiots, and how long is it going to be before the next one?

Too many idiots, too few bullets!

Just sounds like a bit of a run of bad luck TS. I wouldn't start thinking the car is jinxed or anything. Sometimes shit doesn't just happen, arseholes cause it.

Why couldn't the gutless shit call you himself? Had to get his Mum to do it for him?

Yeah it happened both times in the same small country town,

And yes it was totally gutless that he wouldn't talk to me and just give me a claim number, and his mother, well she should keep out of it anyway it was none of her business.

On a smaller Scale, Charli had her cute lil Excel backed into by a guy who, after they rexchanged details, wouldnt take his calls - to the point where, when he did answer, would say the line was breaking up - he couldnt hear. Same scenario, but mate we both weep at the site of your Falcon - some pricks should not drive!!

As a T-series nut it almost brings a tear to the eye. Parts are getting scarce & not to mention expensive for these beasts too o it's even more of a worry when they get damaged.

TS, do you ever get the clowns that drive like idiots near you, just to get a better look at your car, and when they are driving along side, they begin to drive closer and closer into the direction of their gaze?

Some rotten luck TS, thats a good looking car you have there. I hope everything is on the up now.

That plate's gone now anyway, it was an FTE freebie from when I bought it, got one of the DJR plates on it now.[smk]

That first one came in at over $14k, with new front clip at almost $2k, engine cover at $1200, colour coded headlights at almost $200 each, the grills were over$400 each, three new radiators (the small ones were ok), Bonnet and guard, then there was labour and paint etc.

Anyway she's back now and looking all pretty again
