So......... Alledgedly Ford have straight line speed, and thats no good?
Then, according to Skaife and the red zealots, bring in parity rules, Holden get an edge, and then they are the fastest straight line speed, and that would be OK Skaifey?

Look there are only 2 car makes in this comp and one of us is going to be faster than the other.
At this rate, do you really think that they can handle parity over 3 or more manufacturers?

Has anyone heard of any further development on this subject prior to bathurst.

I can't see how V8SA could enforce an unproven change to the falcon to reduce straight line speed this close to the race. However I am sure Skaife is trying his hardest.

They wouldn't give a shit if it did Timmy.
Years ago the dirt bags did a parity in favour of the Holden a week and half out from Sandown

This is taken from the 95 motorsport guide and I think the drivers of today should look how things happened in this time. Especially when it says that the drivers believe when the cars are homologated at the start of the year that should be it till the end of the year.

For those who dont get the V Mag. Todays issue had this to say

Also the Motor Racing Australia mag has "HRT snubbed No pre-Bathurst parity change"

Here we go again

Holden Motorsport Manager Simon McNamara warns that the saying ?what comes around goes around? will ring true for Ford next year.

McNamara, along with the front-running Holden V8 Supercar teams, has been pushing for a parity review since the Queensland Raceway round of the Championship in July.

He says that the shoe will be on the other foot next year, because the FG Falcon to be introduced to the category next will have more drag than the VE Commodore.

?Trust me, next year when the Fords come out, honestly, because their next car?s got more drag than our current car, you watch the whingeing then,? he said.

McNamara said Sprint Gas Racing?s spot on the podium at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 last weekend did not mean there was parity between the VE and the current BF Falcon.

?Everyone goes on about ?pole position, pole position?,? he said, referring to Holden Racing Team?s Garth Tander getting pole at Bathurst.

?But it?s not so prevalent over one lap.

?If you?ve got a drag issue it becomes much more prevalent over consistent laps.?

McNamara said the #3 Greg Murphy/Jason Richards entry proved there is a parity issue even though it was the runner-up in last weekend?s Great Race.

?There?s no issue with the engine; they?re all the same because they have to be, but ? there?s a clear drag problem,? he said.

Richards agreed there was disparity between the two marques.

?When you follow another car it?s pretty easy when you get a draught? of maybe of a Holden but you can?t get one off a Ford,? he said.

?As a driver it?s the most frustrating thing in the universe.?

McNamara will continue pushing for a parity change, even though there are only four rounds of the Championship remaining.

?We wanted it for here; we didn?t get it here, but we?ll keep asking the question because they just keep putting it on the backburner,? he said.

?It makes you wonder well, what are they trying to hide?

?Bahrain?s a fast, open aerodynamic circuit.

?We?ll keep fighting; we?ll never give up.?

VESA Technical Director Andy Bartley is due to present his review into whether the Falcons have an aerodynamic advantage over the Commodore at the next V8 Supercars Australia board meeting on October 22.

So, why give Holden a parity adjustment now, when they believe that next year they'll have an advantage on the FG Falcon, based upon how their car is at present?

Harden the fu<k up Holden you sly pricks!!

So what's McNamara trying to say, we got it wrong so they should be penalised ?

Remember the AU, and how harshly it was penalised for being a little bit more slippery through the air that the dunnydoor, they virtually took away all the front end downforce in the name of Parity and that stayed even though from the day it was done it was clear the was a real descrepency in parity, which showed in the results for the whole time the AU ran in the series, it was rectified for the fujitsu series, and once again the results showed what a strong race car the AU actually was.

The fact that people like McNamara, and HRT are such sore loosers and are looking for an unfair advantage to win at any cost by fair means or fowl has me asking the question;

If SPUD had caught Lowndes before the end of the race, (which he had no chance of doing because Craig was cruising for the last stint anyway) would SPUD have tried to take him out just like he did to Ambrose on the Mountain.

half a dozen laps out from race end, his team were telling Spud to put it on reserve because he was running out of fuel and he may not get race distance, and they were geeing him up, trying to make him mad, and with the strange perspective SPUD had about the small contact the two of them had at the start of the race where SPUD claimed Lowndes smashed their cars steering ruining their race which they then completed the race with without incident and that he would see the favour returned you have to wonder what exactly will transpire at Bahrain this year after what i personally was the deliberate taking out of Whincup and Lowndes at last years Bahrain round where the championship table looked very similar to what it does this year.

We know that each year when Holden loose at Bathurst the game changes and it is with renewed desperation that they seem to me to get together to ensure a Ford does not win the championship.

So what can we do about it?

Agreed TS-50,Spud was`nt going to catch Lowndes he only made up .6 of a sec over 3 laps in the end.888 radioed to Lowndes that he had a 2.6 lead on the last lap to 2nd spot his reply was see you in 2 mins.Classic Lowndes reply.

By the way spud was classified as the first Looser.

It strikes me that this is all a con. All the Holden guys are saying they hit an aerodynamic 'wall' of drag. Yet their lap times are just as good, just look at the practice times from Bathurst. So somewhere else in their package, they are making up the time, presumably in the corners from superior grip. Now, increased downforce does both of those things. I reckon that's the issue. A change in the Commodore's front end package could produce a more Falcon-like package.

But notice that Skaife and the boys have been bleating for a slowing of the Falcon and an altering of its package. They want more drag on the Ford front end without necessarily increasing grip. That way the Ford teams have to redevelop their cars and by the time the mess is sorted out, Holden will be laughing all the way to a bunch of race wins. If they want changes, make it to the Commodores, otherwise we'll be screwed-over again.

I find this statement from Simon McNamara quite ironic cos judging by The Generals recent performances, indeed whats gone around in the past has finally came back around to haunt Holden [y]

Holden = evil!
Ford = all thats good in the universe!

Holden have always played politics better than Ford. It is the only way they will ever win and if it keeps working for them then why wouldn't they keep doing it?

The Fordies need to stand united in the face of yet another underhanded political onslaught from Satan and his henchmen.:D

I'm sure that Holden , the company Bosses and even some ot the Team managers would be happy if it was a one make series, so that a Holden could win every race.
