For all those who don?t have access to the V Mag. This is taken out of today?s edition. Holden just need to look at they own comments from 2000 - 2003 and apply it to themselves now.

Holden don't need a Parity adjustment, they already have the safety car coming out at the end of every race until a Holden takes the lead, what more do they want,

And next year we will have a rule change that will allow the car in second to perform a rolling start on the leader from along side at the restart, just how convoluted is this series going to get.

This is all nothing new. Each time Ford has made a technological advance Holden whine to c@#kbrane like spoilt brats to get what they want. They're either too stupid, or too lazy to do the work themselves.

AA also reports that Holden are DEMANDING a parity review NOW! They may just get it too. V8SA are looking at bringing the review date forward.

Those c&%ts just don't stop.

How the hell can they be calling for it more now? They just won (given it really) the first enduro. This is getting way out of hand surely the V8SA have a bit of common sense.

VESA better not cave in now.
FFS I reckon they are only after a better deal now, for ALL of the struggling Holden teams before the FG is out next year. I reckon they are afraid of the struggle they are experiencing now with an old design Falcon, that they will be truly screwed when racing against the FG next year.
I don't think they are that worried about parity to the BF with 5 rounds to go.

I still say, why is that #1 is the only Holden that can win a race. They ought to sort out parity amongst all of the Holdens first, before getting too worried about the Falcons.

IF IT DOES HAPPEN: I would be more excited about the race than ever & purley from the point of hopeing that holden got hosed everwhere. Ford goes out on a seak & destroy mission during the race and just pulls out of the whole game after the season is over. then approaches Toyota, and other Manufactures to set up another series with a properly controlled and FAIR system with raceing on every second weekend. Maybe an affiliation with NASCAR governing body who do know how to run things properly. I`m not suggesting Nascar raceing in Australia as we have our own culture but engageing their help or even DTM.It`s time for another Manufacture and just get away from these sooks who never have & never will want to play by the rules. Should changes happen and Ford get flogged well they can Kiss my Ass! Because I will be well & Trully over V8 Supercars. I1m only just hanging in there now! Especially with so long between rounds.

4ever17, i agree if Holden gets it's parity adjustment Ford should go all out to protect Frosty and Whincup and then put car 1 into the wall and write it off.
After Ford win the championship and Bathurst tell Cochbrain and VE$A to shove the whole shooting match right up that whinging c@#t , Simon MacNamara's arse

Would love to see this happen. Just like the 06 Bathurst first lap all over again. That was a great moment in motor racing.:D

No doubt that was a great moment in motorsport, but not the best.

The best moment in motorsport in the V8 era(drum roll please) was when both HRT cars DNF'ed at Bathurst before their first pitstop with engine dramas

taken off V8 Supercars website 20-9-08

V8 Supercars Australia (VESA) Chairman Tony Cochrane said the VESA Board has requested the category?s technical department investigate parity out of fairness.

Holden Racing Team?s Mark Skaife, with the backing of other Holden teams, requested a parity review after Round Seven of the Championship at Queensland Raceway.

Earlier this month, the Board appointed VESA Technical Director Andy Bartley to conduct a review into whether the Falcons have an aerodynamic advantage over the Commodore.

?The Board looked at it and we couldn?t see much in it to be honest, when you look at all the data,? Cochrane said.

?But in fairness, we had the request so we?ve handed it to our head technical director to do whatever he has to do.

?(Bartley can) get more data if he needs more data, go over the data that?s existing right now and report to the October board meeting.?

When asked whether it appeared that one marque had an advantage over another, Cochrane replied ?not when you look at the data, there?s not?.

?I?m not a ?technocrat?,? he said.

?Certainly listening to the conversation of all the technical people around the table, there didn?t appear to be any (disparity).?

Cochrane defended the time it would take before a change would be enacted if a parity difference was found.

?In fairness to the technical guys, if they had have sat at that meeting and if all the data had have come out and it was obvious there was a parity difference I think they would have acted on the spot,? he said.

?But we were looking at stuff that did not have any depth to it.

?They?ve asked (and) we couldn?t see their case.

?But rather than saying ?sorry, you?ve got no case?, we handed it on to Andy.

?We also gave him the authority to conduct additional testing if he needed it, to come back by the next board meeting and he might say ?well I?ve really dug into it and I have found something?, rather than us just dismissing it.

?I think we have been more than fair.?

Following Holden Racing Team?s victory at the L&H 500 last weekend, Skaife was adamant that a parity review was still needed.

?There isn?t a parity system in place at the moment; the Board is looking at what they do with it looking forward,? he said.

?Clearly with the sorts of conditions and the changeability our car was every bit as strong as Jamie and Craig?s (Falcon at the L&H 500).

?When we go to Bathurst? the straight-line speed is one of the things that we?ve been talking about in terms of what drag the Ford has in comparison to us and if you want to stand by the speed trap three quarters of a way down Conrod you might get an idea with it.?
