In 1999 Steve Johnson substituted for Dick in the famous #17.
Where was it and why did he substitute for Dick?

Correct Poita. Dick was having a sinus operation at around the time of the round so Steve jumped in and recored a 10th, 6th & 5th places in his Dick's absence.

In 1989 Dick Johnson and John Bowe drove Bathurst together in #17.

Who were the drivers that drove the second djr car?

After Steve's exclusion last weekend, when & where was the last time DJR were excluded from a race, also what was the reason for the exclusion.

Was it Bathurst in 1983 for using Holden rings in the car loaned to Dick after he took the other one bush bashing?

Was it Bathurst 1982 for using the Aluminium manifold?

Maybe I am getting confused with an ATCC round during 1983. I remember Dick telling me recently about getting caught using an illegal alloy manifold. Dyno cut it in half and ported the beejesus out of it and then put it back together and painted it blue so it looked standard.

Manifold is not the cylinder heads. So what is the correct answer:confused:[sh]

Getting picky aren't we??:D

I know it's not the 100% correct answer i was looking for (manifold) but i thought it was close enough.
Inelligble cylinder heads was the correct answer.

As for the turbo HH you may very well be right there (will check to see if my reading material has anything about that). The 1982 Bathurst exclusion was the one that stuck in my head the most.

Pretty sure he was also disqualified from the Top Ten at Bathurst in 87 along with Lakeside in 87, I was at that round.
