How many times has the winner of the Bathurst 1000 not gone the full 161 (or pre chase 163) laps to be awarded the winner of the race ??

Yep.. That was a tad easy wasn't it??? Although I though the 87 one might have tricked a few but like usual, everyone on here's to bloody clever!!

'87 was also memorable for some sensational wet weather driving from a young Glenn Seton.

Now I am starting to sound like Seton Fanatic!

The 2 laps of racecam footage of Glen in 87 is in my opinion the best bit of racecam footage ever.
Fantastic to watch and fantastic commentery from Mike Raymond.

I'm not sure the commentary was fantastic. I more remember Mike panicking that his confident assertion about karters was going to go horribly astray against a concrete wall. But as you say, great piece of driving and racecam coverage.

In 87 Brock killed 05, jumped in the number 10 car and finished 3 laps down on the later disqualified Eggenberger Sierras

I still have Bathurst 1987 on video (not a good one for DJR) and that footage of a 22yr old Glen Seton is awesome. I still watch those few laps occassionally. He also had a great dice earlier in the race (in the dry) with George Fury and the two JPS Bimmers.

Seto has always been interesting to watch on RaceCam...the eye twitch through left-hand corners, the chewing of the drink straw and hearing him talk the car through corners [8D].

One thing I've noticed about Glenn in the last couple of years is he doesn't look as relaxed & comfortable behind the wheel as he used to. When he was younger you'd swear he was driving to pick up the milk he made Lowndes look frantic.
That in-car of him talking himself around talking about himself in the 3rd person from around 2000 odd at ?Winton? is crack up.

Yes it was from Winton MrJuicy. I have that footage lying around somewhere too. I must dig it out again...
