As a tribute, NOT a replica, I wanted to respray my XE Falcon in the same colour as the palmer tube mills 84 model, (minus the sponsers, of course) and I am wondering if anyone had an idea of the correct colour green that I should use. Again, since it isn't a museum piece if I have to guess I will guess, just hoping someone may have an idea!

I came across an XD painted up as an XE Greens Tuf replica on a website the other day somewhere. The body kit was pretty much spot on but on an XD it looked totally wrong. She had a 351 4speed in it & was for sale for about 15 grand IIRC.

A mate of mine and his father are doing up a replica of the XE and up untill two months ago had already spent 35k on it.I haven`t seen the thing but apperantly they have been talking a fair bit to Dick about it and have brought alot of parts from him.He was telling me about the paint woes but have the right code.Would you like me to ring him?

Just found these on YouTube fellas. Not sure if you have seen them or not. They were the days...

I spent about 2 hours going through a lot of old footage, there was some classic racing on that site especially enjoyed watching Dick slide the XE out of Hell Corner.

Pete the best thing is seeing how damn relaxed Dick was - he was so casual even at speed - lets see any of our new stars have a yabber during a race.

Yeah, that was one of the highlights of the era: I was watching the 1995 Great Race tape again last night, and both Dick and Larry Perkins (who had his hands pretty fully) were very composed and relaxed, given that one was leading the race, and the other was thrashing the guts out of his car to make back a lap...

the good ol' days...
